A wand is placed through a hole in a block. After this is done a few times the wand disappears by about 80% into the block. The wand is now extracted from the block and is restored to its original length. The spectators actually see the wand melting into the block. It is a very baffling illusion, yet with this mechanical device it is very easy to do.

The effect is bult three different ways.

Natural: Wood on 4 sides -2 sides covered with Formica.

Deluxe: All sides cover with Formica.

Deluxe Dice: All sides cover with Formica and dice spots added.
