AMAZING CLOCK TRICK

Tricks with time have been popular with magicians over the ages. One of the most popular themes is for a spectator to set the time on a clock dial, (presumably to mark some memorable event in his life), and for the magician to divine this time, without looking at the dial.

There have been many models of this effect, including some with clever electrical and electronic wizardry. The model we offer is based on one of the original concepts, using a mechanical indicator. There are no batteries to replace or run out, no bulbs to replace, and no magnet or "contact rings". The greatest advantage of this method is that you do not need to touch the box with the clock dial to tell the time.

With a few handling trials, you could present this effect from several feet away, and repeat it as often as you wished. The apparatus supplied by us comprises of a large box, inside which is a large clock dial with a movable hand. The box can be examined, and there seems to be no way for the performer to peek at the time set on the dial when the box is closed. The Working Secret is utterly amazing.

This is a large stage size prop, suitable for presentation before a large audience. One option to use this clock would be to sketch a large clock face on a piece of paper and after concentration sketch in the right time. Another option is to set a matching time on your own wristwatch, and hand it over to another spectator. Finally, you have the assisting spectator open the box, and show the time to the audience, and have it authenticated with your "guess", or the result of your mind reading, or whatever your presentation involves. The effect is extremely easy to perform, and the intrinsic presentation theme will permit you to build this into a very powerful "mental" effect.
