This is one of the greatest kid's audience warm-ups that you can use.   Walk down into the audience and ask the kids if they know any magic words.  As the answers come flying at you, discuss them and make fun of a few. For example: Abracadabra -- Have a Banana? Hocus-Pocus -- Famous word of magicians throughout the last century.   Please and Thank you -- Sesame Street. 

As the discussion continues and the kids begin to settle down, you show the hands constantly empty. When your magic word is uttered you produce a silk streamer from your seemingly empty hands.  We supply the streamer, you supply the thumb tip.
