This instruction manual is organized to give you an overview of the routine, then give you each of the separate elements, and finally to put them all together into one flowing piece. Using it in conjunction with the videotape, you should get the full benefit of every nuance and aspect of the method, presentation and performance.

The magical effect is quite simple, and entirely visual. It is performed silently to special music. The performer removes three 45 rpm records as a group from a specially printed record jacket and then displays the records individually to be black on both sides. One record changes to yellow (on both sides), then the second record changes to yellow, followed by the third. All three records are now shown yellow on both sides. For the final climax, the records change to three colors - red, yellow and blue. Again all three records are clearly shown on both sides.

As the three records are displayed and moved in an arc, "rainbow fashion" over the performer's head, a series of multi-colored paper streamers magically appear and are thrown over the heads of the audience to form a "rainbow" above them.

The color-changing records effect is in fact accomplished with six record disks, which are treated as only three records throughout. The moves and displays are parallel to that of a packet trick with cards, but the effect is as far removed from a card trick as imaginable.
