If you read Mak's ad about his clatter box he will tell you that the metal box "Makes WOOD Boxes Obsolete." This might be true for most wood clatter boxes, but not this one! The performer asks spectator assist him in an effect. He removes a silk from a beautiful wooden box and delegates the care of the box to a spectator. Naturally, the spectator is told that the box has been in the family for generations and is very valuable. "BE CAREFUL WITH IT!" The silk is vanished. The spectator is told that the silk is in the box. "Open the antique box," says the performer. The box falls to the floor in many pieces. The spectator becomes very flustered as he thinks he has ruined an expensive prop.
The box is high quality oak plywood reinforced with aluminum and decorated with beautiful brass hardware. All the parts are large and easy to handle. Anyone can put it together. Clatter Box measures about 6 inches cubed.

SANTA'S MAGIC CHIMNEY by IRV COOK
Santa's Magic Chimney is a very versatile prop. It can be used to make a large load appear, or even vanish. It is great for livestock, spring flowers, silks, candy, Christmas decorations or anything you want to make appear magically at your Christmas show. The Chimney is shown empty as the story is told that Santa forgot to leave the presents under the tree. "Maybe Santa was too fat to fit down the chimney and just dropped the toys down!" Examination of the once empty chimney now reveals oodles of presents and candy.
Basically the chimney is a vertical drawer box. Load the entire chamber up with whatever you want to make appear. Another great idea is to get a small stuffed Santa doll and have Santa actually appear in the chimney. The chimney measures 8" x 13" x 7".

PARTY HAT by IRV COOK
This is a great kids effect, and whether you use it on yourself or an unwary assistant it will be the highlight of any holiday or birthday party. The Magician asks a young child to help him with his next trick He explains that he is going to produce a red scarf from his magic hat. He tells the child, that he has to dress up for the part, and places a clown hat on his head. "But wait!" the Magi or Clown says, "I am not supposed to do this trick at a clown party, I am supposed to do it at a birthday party!" The Magician takes the hat off of the child's head, turns it inside out and shows a beautiful birthday pattern now on the hat. "Wait a minute, it is nobody's birthday, oh, I know, it is St. Patrick's Day today!" The Magician turns the hat inside out to reveal that it is now a St. Patrick's Day hat complete with Shamrocks! Once again, the Magician tries to get back to his trick, looks at the kids and exclaims, "Oh! It's not St. Patrick's Day...It must be Valentine's Day!" He once again turns the hat inside out which now dons a Valentine's Day pattern.
The kids will be screaming and howling that it is not Valentine's Day. The Magician or Clown plays dumb, and proclaims, "If it is not those holidays, it must be Easter!" He turns the hat inside out to reveal an Easter hat. He does the same thing again to show a Halloween Hat. Finally, after so many unsuccessful attempts, the Magician turns the hat inside out to finally reveal a Christmas Hat. The silk can be produced from the Christmas Hat, by having it pre-positioned or by using a gimmick such as a thumbtip. You can manipulate the hat so that the final hat matches the appropriate holiday. If used on yourself, you can say that you had problems dressing for the show and couldn't remember what kind of a party you were attending.

PLATFORM CASE DELUXE by DAYTONA MAGIC
If you ever attend a magic convention you will see most magic dealers using some form of raised performance case. They do this because most tables are about 36 inches high and they have to work standing up demonstrating close-up and parlor magic. Without a raised platform they would wear out their backs. There are all types of reworked attaché cases, and cases made from kitchen board by other manufactures. For years we carried an old attaché case that was cut in two by one of our craftsman.
After this case died I asked our master cabinet maker if he could make for us a durable, good looking proper size case for us to use. The case above was brought back to us in about three weeks. It measures closed 4 1/2 inches high by 19 inches in length and 15 inches in width. Open it grows to 11 inches high. It is made from the highest quality birch plywood that is laminated in Formica. The hardware is brass and the handle is durable black high impact vinyl. We even put solid brass corner protectors on all the corners. The "height rising piece" locks into the lid so you can carry a complete case full of magic.

The dictionary describes a Shaman as a member of certain tribal societies who acts as a medium between the visible world and an invisible spirit world and who practices magic or sorcery for purposes of healing, divination, and control over natural events.
Magi explains that after coming across some ancient texts he has learned one of the Shaman's most guarded secrets, the control over the wetness of water. The Shaman can can be shown empty and is then filled with water. Magi reaches into the can and produces "DRY" silk handkerchiefs, a string of flags or a silk streamer. The water can then be poured back out of the can.
The can measures eight inches high and has a diameter of 3.25 inches. It is made of high impact plastic and beautifully decorated. This versatile can, can be used for many other effects.
