SWORD THRU NECK by DAYTONA MAGIC
Magi displays a bright metal sword and bangs it on the table to show that it is solid. Or he can puncture a balloon with it. A set of neck stocks is shown and locked around the neck of any willing spectator. Performer cries: "Watch!" and deliberately forces the sword right through the center of the stocks and out the other side, apparently putting the sword right through the spectator's neck-without harm or pain.
A ribbon can then be pushed through the stocks-and presumably the spectator's neck, and pulled back and forth. As a final touch, as in sketch, smoke can be blown through the stocks and neck A BIG EFFECT that can be used when selling the show as a talking point, an illusion that packs small and can be worked close-up and even surrounded. Complete with stocks and sword.

The magician displays a brass rod with six colors. The colors are green, yellow, red, white, blue, and black. The colors are in this order on the front and back of the rod. The spectator is then asked to freely select any of the six colors.
The magician then shakes the rod and the spectators color jumps to a different location on the rod. Once again the rod is shown front and back. The magician shakes the rod again and the selected color has jumped back to its previous location on both rods. The magician then asks a second spectator to select any number from 1 to 6. He then counts to a selected number on the rod. This brings him to a new color, let's say red. The rod is then slid through the magician's hand changing all the colors to red.
Now for the amazing part. The rod is again shown front and back and handed to the spectator to be examined. A fabulous Hot Rod routine. Rod made of a brass and precision made.

This is an extraordinary magical effect that is easy to do and is sure to leave your audience completely baffled:
EFFECT #1: Two cards are selected from the deck by two different spectators. Each card is openly sealed in its own envelope which is boldly marked with the value of the card inside. The envelopes are placed in stands to keep them in full view of the audience. Magician now commands the cards to change places. The envelopes are opened, one at a time and the cards are shown to have indeed changed places with each other.
EFFECT #2: This is basically the same as the effect described above, with the exception that when the envelopes are opened, the cards are found to have vanished and in their place is a message such as; "Happy Birthday"; "Merry Christmas"; or some other appropriate phrase. The chosen cards are now found returned to the deck.
