STAGE MAGIC
Magi displays a bright metal sword and bangs it on the table to show that it is solid. Or he can puncture a balloon with it. A set of neck stocks is shown and locked around the neck of any willing spectator. Performer cries: "Watch!" and deliberately forces the sword right through the center of the stocks and out the other side, apparently putting the sword right through the spectator's neck - without harm or pain.
A ribbon can then be pushed through the stocks - and presumably the spectator's neck, and pulled back and forth. As a final touch, as in sketch, smoke can be blown through the stocks and neck. A big effect that can be used when selling the show as a talking point, an illusion that packs small and can be worked close-up and even surrounded. Complete with stocks and sword.

The magi produces dozens of little lights and places them in a black cloth bag. Magically the bag is transformed into a large blue foulard, which is spotted with more than 50 red lights. Comes in two varieties. One spells "THE END" and one that is just filled with lights for use anytime during show.

APPEARING BIRD CAGE (INDIA) 15"

WINDOW FLIP OVER BOX (MAK)
With this unique livestock vanish you will be able to vanish as many as four doves or a small rabbit in an instant, right in front of the watchful eyes of the audience. This box uses the principle of a silk cabby box and is very easy to use.
The box measures 12" x 10" x 5" high and it has a window in the front so that the audience is able to see the livestock up to the moment they vanish. The box is beautifully finished in blue and black. It has a large dove silk screened on the top lid. You will be proud to use this professionally made prop. The box is sitting on the table with the window facing the audience as you place the doves or other livestock inside by a door on the top. The box is picked up and with a flick of the wrists it pops open revealing that all has vanished.

The Vanishing Bird Cage is a classic piece of magic, created by Buatier de Kolta, (who designed this as a cylindrical cage), redesigned by DeBiere in the rectangular form familiar today, and made famous by Harry Blackstone (Senior and Junior) as an outstanding magical illusion. Because of the set up and handling required for effective performance, it is also an item attempted by very few performers, and rarely seen. In effect, a cage with a canary, (usually imitation) is squeezed between the performer's hands, and just vanishes into thin air!
We now offer you a slightly modified model of this classic prop, that serves a dual function, - you can use it as a production cage, or a vanishing cage. A clever arrangement enables this cage to spring open, just as easily as it collapses for a vanish. It is also a little easier to handle than the classic prop.
You could produce more than one cage from a large production prop, and you can leave these standing rigid on display. A small imitation bird can be placed (tied) in the middle of the cage. You could also produce these cages from a double foulard, with pockets stitched diagonally in them, (similar to the production of Flower Bouquets from a foulard.)
