This is the best Flying Carpet illusion that we have ever seen. It is quality made from the finest materials.
A small platform on casters is wheeled out anyplace. On it is a two-fold screen holding up a prop carpet. Anyone up to 120 pounds is placed on top with their legs crossed. You can also use this as a one man effect. Two chrome swords are shown and propped under the carpet. Then the screen is pulled out from under the carpet, off the platform onto the floor Apparently the swords are holding up the carpet. Now, the swords are removed and waved around, as the subject and carpet remain suspended in mid air. A solid hoop is passed over the carpet and subject to show that no visible means of support is used. The screen is placed back under the carpet and the subject steps down.
This can be worked most anyplace! You can use it on the patio, beach, rumpus room, living room, floor, platform and stage. Packs flat and weighs only about 40 pounds. Tip over trunks have been a feature of nearly every illusion show for the past 100 years. This is no surprise, since it is a clever principle that has helped delight audiences of every generation. The illusion is improved by lifting the trunk off the floor, or the typical low base. It makes the production all the more impossible that anything could be hidden. The box measures approx. 20" x 18" x 21.5" and resting on a wheeled stand that is roughly 26" x 26" x 23" it can produce an impressive load, even an animal.. The illusion stands 45" tall.
Yet, when it is shown, it can clearly be seen to be a completely empty trunk. Built strong enough for the toughest traveling show, it is colorful and attractive. Peter Loughran's famous mirror Penetration that has mystified audiences and baffled magicians for years has now been built in a micro size!
In the effect the performer introduces a beautiful mirror frame and a solid mirror. The mirror is handed out for inspection. The solid mirror is now inserted into the mirror frame. A silk is introduced and amazingly the silk begins to melt right through the mirror as the entire illusion is spun around 360 degrees. The silk is moved around the mirror seemingly healing its path as it travels. Finally the silk is pulled completely through the front of the mirror.
Now a white drop cloth is placed in front of the mirror with a back light switched on, it is impossible to move the mirror inside the frame in ANY DIRECTION without detection and light shining through. Yet the performer thrusts his entire hand and arm right through the solid mirror. The white drop cloth is instantly pulled away showing the mirror still in place and completely solid. The mirror is removed and may be examined again!
