The Drawer Box is one of the oldest production props ever devised and has survived over the decades because of its simplicity, and ease of operation. It is one of the very few production props capable of holding a load almost as large as the visible prop. Drawer Boxes come in all shapes and sizes, from miniature ones for coins and cigarettes, to a huge Circus Ring size, for producing bears, or a bevy of beauties!
The DRAWER BOX DELUXE is a handsome prop for platform or stage use. It is ideal for use with livestock and has several special features. It has a large size (12.5" x 8" x 7") with a load capacity of about 11" x 6.5" x 6"). The box will hold several Doves or Pigeons, a couple of Bunnies, or a Rabbit, or even a Kitten or Puppy. With inanimate objects, or special compressible production goods, the productions can be very large.

Performer
displays a square wooden chest with front and back openings, which the audience
can see completely through. The chest is put around a spectator's head, and
panels used to close the back and front, effectively trapping the head in the
chest. Several daggers are now pushed through slots on the sides of the chest.
Apparently they penetrate right through the head!
The
front panel is now lifted away. The inside of the chest is seen to be
crisscrossed with daggers. There seems to be no room to conceal anything between
the dagger blades. And the spectator's head has completely vanished.
The
front panel is now reinserted, and the daggers removed. Panels are then lifted
away to reveal the spectator's head completely unharmed. The chest is pulled off
the head, and the blind fold removed. This is one of the most popular illusions
of all times.
Our
folding model collapses to a small compact size that can be carried in a
briefcase. It can be erected in less than two minutes into a rigid form, which
does not fall to pieces under normal handling. And you can dismantle it in a
jiffy. Another special feature of our Dagger Chest is that you can use it with
any spectator from the audience. The assistant has absolutely no part to play in
the working. The spring hinged pieces open automatically when the daggers are
inserted, and closed silently when the daggers are removed. By using a spectator
from the audience (blindfolded so that they do not see the internal working),
you greatly enhance the effect.

This is an outfit that will enable you to perform the classic Mutilated Parasol effect, and some others including a Silk To Parasol effect, and a Mis-made Parasol Routine.
The apparatus we supply in this outfit comprises of the following:
1. Two clear net tubes, (gimmicked).
2. Three "silks" in three different colors, (These are not silk but a
much tougher synthetic material, more suitable for this effect).
3. A loose Parasol "Cover" or shade.
4. Six pieces of ribbon, two each to match the colors of the three silks.
5. A miniature parasol with a cover in the same colors as the silks.
6. A "Mutilated" Parasol, with ribbons on the spokes in lieu of the
cover.
Detailed below are the various routines you can perform with this outfit.
Silks To Parasol
This is an extremely colorful and quick visual transformation of three different colored silks into a parasol, with the parasol shade in the colors of the silks. The performer displays a clear "net" tube and three different colored silks. The silks are pushed into the tube. The silks are clearly visible in the net tube. This is tossed into the air, caught, and the silks apparently pulled out of the tube. They are seen to have transformed into a parasol. The net tube is seen to be clearly empty.
Standard Mutilated Parasol Effect
This is similar to the classic Mutilated Parasol effect, but performed using two clear net tubes instead of a change bag and an opaque mat cover for the parasols. The basic effect from the audience view point is as follows... Performer displays two clear net tubes, three different colored silks, and a parasol.
The parasol is placed in one net tube, and the silks in the other net tube. Everything is clearly visible through the holes in the net tubes. He claims he will make the silks and parasol change places in the tubes. The tubes are tossed up, and their contents removed. The silks and parasol have changed places, but mutilated in the process (something blew a fuse!).
The tube that held the silks now holds the parasol, but without the cover. Instead the silks, now shredded into ribbons are arranged along the spokes. And when the contents of the tube that held the parasol are removed, they are found to be a parasol cover. The performer repeats the experiment once again and everything is restored back to normal.
