MENTALISM
Somebody from the audience is requested to move any number of cubes (between 0 and 5) from right end to left end of the “Mental” stand. During this operation the magician turns his back on the audience. After the spectator finished his “job” the magician reveals one of the cubes, and the number on the cube, corresponds to the number of moved cubes. This was easy; now let’s harden it a little bit:
The magician picks six cards, on each card is written one letter from the word “Mental”. Prior to the spectator moves the cubes, the magician picks one of the cards. The spectator moves the cubes in the manner described above and after that. he reveals the card chosen by the magician. On the card is a letter, turning the cube marked with that letter over, reveals a number. This number corresponds with to the number of moved cubes. At the end the spectator picks a card, without looking at it, and than moves some cubes.

In spite of the fact that the cubes are small, since the letters size is big enough to be legible from distance, the show can be presented to a larger audience as well.

The magician asks the spectator to choose one of five boxes in a bag. The spectator opens his chosen box and puts something inside (for example a folded banknote). The spectator puts the chosen box back into the bag and mixes it with the other boxes. The magician digs into the bag and pulls out the chosen box. The boxes and the bag can be examined in the end. The trick does not require sleight of hand.

For this trick the magician uses a transparent Plexiglas board, five ESP cards with blue back and five ESP cards with red back. Every blue backed card has its matching red backed card. You will have the same ESP symbols on the faces of these cards. The magician slips the blue cards into their slots on the board in an order only he knows. The spectator chooses one by one, in which matching slot the red cards should go, but he only sees the back of the cards. When the magician turns the board around, the blue back and red back cards are in the same order (top to bottom).
You can show the trick twice and the order of the cards won't be the same. The cards are not specially prepared.

A member of the audience examines a sketch pad and a felt-tip pen. The spectator is then asked to write his name in large letters across the top sheet of the pad. This sheet is torn into two pieces. One of the pieces is given to the member of the audience, who crumples it up and holds it in his closed hand. The magician draws for example a large eye on the second half and crumples it up as well. As if by voodoo magic, the image the magician drew on his paper appears on the backside of the half that the audience member is holding!
