MENTALISM

The performer offers to demonstrate how he became so dexterous as a magician by revealing an exercise called "Dead Cutting." The purpose of the exercise is to practice cutting an exact number of cards clean off the top of the pack. The magician demonstrates by succeeding at cutting exactly 12 cards off the top.
Then it's a spectators turn to give it a try...A spectator is asked to place any coin, their wallet and their watch onto the table. They do so, placing them down in any order. The performer explains that the objects are going to act as markers and removes a deck of cards from his pocket. He asks the spectator to try and cut exactly 10 cards off the top of the deck. They do so and are instructed to place the pile in front of their coin.
The magician then asks them to cut another pile, this time 12 cards and place the pile by their watch. Finally, the spectator is asked to try to cut 15 cards, which go by their wallet.
The performer now admits to misleading the audience a bit, explaining that the lesson wasn't about being dexterous, but about misdirection. He explains that by giving them a difficult and specific task to concentrate on, it mentally persuades them away from what is actually happening. The top cards of each pile are slid forward to the object they are by. What would have happened if they had cut even just one card more or one card less in each pile? The piles are now turned over to show standard playing card faces. The card cut by the coin is turned over, and the word "Coin" is seen to be printed on the card! The card by their watch says "Watch" and, of course, the card by their wallet says "Wallet" boldly across the face.
Comes with all of the necessary, specially-printed cards on Bicycle stock and detailed instructions

The Next Generation in Psychological Magic! In this effect by Peter Nardi two sets of five cards are shown to the audience. One set has red backs and the other blue. The performer hands the red set of cards to the spectator and she is asked to imagine that she's holding a full set of five E.S.P. cards-the circle, cross, wavy lines, square and star. The performer displays the faces of his cards, showing he, too has a set of E.S.P. cards.
Both the spectator and performer mix their cards and the performer hands one card, face-down to the spectator. Without looking at the faces of her cards, the spectator also picks one card and hands it to the performer. When the two cards are turned over, they both have the same symbol!
Now, this could just be a marvelous coincidence, so the spectator is asked to turn over the rest of the cards in her hands. When she does, they're all seen to be completely blank!
ESPerfect comes complete with all of the necessary cards on Bicycle stock and detailed instructions.

"I was completely fooled." - Derren Brown
"It's a killer. You know those tricks you have in the back of a drawer? This is the opposite." - David Regal
In this effect by Andy Nyman the performer explains that he's trying something new in his life-he's given up making decisions for himself and instead rolls the dice and let's chance decide his fate. A spectator is handed a red die and asked to give it a roll to decide how the rest of the time they spend with the magician will go. Let's say the spectator rolls a five.
The performer then displays his "options cards," six laminated and numbered cards with different actions on their backs. The performer lays all six cards down on the table in a row and requests that the spectator turn over the card which matches their rolled number.
The spectator turns over the card numbered five and it says "Be Nice" on the back. "It'll be tough, but I'll try." says the performer. Of course, everyone is wondering what's written on the backs of the other cards...when they're turned over each and every other card says "KILL!" across the back! "I'm so relieved, I couldn't go through last night again!"
Comes complete with laminated cards, metal carrying
