MENTALISM
This is an outstanding mentalism trick that will leave your audiences baffled as they try and figure out just how you did it!
In this effect by David Regal the performer shows a deck of cards to the audience and fans through the deck to show that it is indeed a complete and randomly arranged deck. He then takes three rubber bands and securely wraps them around one end of the deck, ensuring that no cards can be added to or removed from the deck and that the order of the deck cannot be changed.
The deck is then passed to a spectator who is asked to flip to some point in the deck and view a card. The spectator is then asked to remember that card and pass the deck to another spectator. Let's say the spectator chooses a 3 of Diamonds. The second spectator is asked to do the same. Let's say the second chosen card is a King of Hearts. The third spectator is then asked to flip to some point in the deck to choose a card, remember that card, and then give the deck back to the performer. Let's say the third spectator chooses a 9 of Spades.
The performer takes the deck back and, without inspecting it by any means, throws it to someone else close to him in the audience to hold onto. He then asks for the three spectators who participated to "please stand up." The performer puts his hands to his temple and begins concentrating. He says, "I'm beginning to see colors... red and black. Now I see suites... I see a Heart. I see a Spade. Wait... now I see numbers. Okay. I think I've got it. When I say your card... if I say your card... please sit down in your chair." The three spectators watch and listen for their chosen card. The performer then says, "King of Hearts, 3 of Diamonds, 9 of Spades!", and all three spectators immediately sit down. The performer has correctly named all 3 randomly chosen cards!

In this effect by Brad Toulouse, the performer asks a spectator to secretly find his/her birth year on a parchment containing the Chinese Zodiac and to remember the animal associated with that year. From a small velvet pouch the performer removes a strange device comprised of an eight sided disk with the numbers 1-12 burned around it, a Chinese coin containing the Zodiac, and a replica Hand of Fu Hsi in the center! The spectator is asked to secretly find his/her animal on the coin and align it with any number on the disk. Using a chopstick the performer begins to randomly tap the disk when suddenly the spectator yells "STOP!"....and upon doing so the performer has landed on the exact animal secretly chosen earlier by the spectator!

Effect
The performer takes out a small leather wallet and from it; he removes a poker-chip and four cards, each bearing the image of a well known movie-killer.
These are set out on the table and the performer then asks the spectator to imagine the following scene: All four of the killers are in a room, when all of a sudden the inevitable happens and gun shots are fired.
When the smoke clears only one man is left standing!
The survivor is the owner of the poker chip.
The spectator is asked to choose the killer he believes to be the owner of the chip, which is then placed onto the card bearing the image of the chosen survivor.
Amazingly the performer proves that the spectator's selection is the correct one!

In this effect by Alexander De Cova you display a big envelope with a prediction. Two spectators assist you with this experiment. Now you show a transparent clipboard with a single sheet of paper on it. On this paper are printed 25 different abstract symbols in a numbered grid. You ask one spectator to think of any uneven number from 1 to 25 (including 1 and 25). The other spectator thinks of an even number. These numbers are only thought of!
Now each of the spectators looks at the clipboard and remembers the symbol corresponding to his number. Again the spectators never name aloud their symbols and you don't ask a single question!
The prediction is read aloud: "I, Mr. X, predict that tonight two volunteers will absolutely free and without any influence from my side decide randomly on an abstract symbol each. These two symbols will be a wave and a moon." The two spectators indeed verify that they have been thinking of the wave and a moon - your prediction proved to be correct!

FUSE – FIRE SPIRIT WRITING SOLUTION
Magician has the spectator choose an ESP card and memorize the symbol. (This could also be a regular playing card or anything else you wish to force on the spectator).
The magician removes a piece of tissue paper and asks the spectator to hold it between their hands. The spectator is told to focus on the paper and concentrate on the symbol. Magician now takes a match, lights it and lets it burn for a few seconds. He then blows the match out and touches it to the paper.
Slowly the paper starts to burn where the match was placed and something strange starts to happen. The paper is now seen to be burning a trail of an image. After a few seconds the paper burns a the chosen image completely in to the paper. The paper may be given to the spectator as a souvenir.
