In this effect by Anton Corradin the magician presents the spectator with a beautiful and ornate wooden box. He removes the lid and shows that the box contains a single key. As he removes the key and hands it to the spectator, the magician says that this key will open the door that separates what is real from what is imaginary. The magician places the lid back on the box.
The spectator is then asked to imagine a deck of cards, as this will be needed for the next trick. With a wave of his hand and a shake of the box, the magician removes the lid of the box to reveal that a deck of cards has miraculously appeared inside of the box!

To all appearances this is a torch or electric lantern, used by Campers, Miners, Fishermen, Sailors, or around the house. It is a familiar item to all in your audience, and they can handle this, switching it on and off by the toggle switch on this. (In fact the "gimmicking" is done in a regular commercial torch of this type.)
Yet the lighting of this torch/lantern is entirely under your control, and you can have it light at will from several feet away, even when held in a spectator's hand. This Command Light is fitted with a high frequency switching receiver, along with a cigarette packet size transmitter to control the lighting action from your pocket.
There have been other similar effects in the past, (Beam Shot, Laser Light, Spook Light etc.) involving different gimmicks, where a torch magically lights under your control to reveal a selected card, or as a lie detector, and so on. The magician shows three Magic Wands of three different colors, - red, green, and blue. These are handed over to a spectator to examine. The spectator then hands the magician any of the three wands behind the magician's back, hiding the other two in his pocket. The magician can tell the color of the wand handed to him behind his back. This can be repeated as often as you like.
Wands are molded in high impact plastic, and measure approximately 4" long, and 0.3" diameter.
