In this effect from Vernet, you show forty white cards with different shapes printed on them, shuffle and place them face down on the table. You ask a spectator to cut off a small packet of the deck, look at the shape he cut and remember it. Next, ask him to shuffle the packet. Then ask another spectator to take the balance of the deck from the table and place it in his pocket. All these actions are made with your back to both spectators.
Now ask the spectator to mix his packet face up on the table. Just now, you turn and explain that you will show the cards from the table, one by one, and at the exact moment he sees his shape he has to think "this is my shape." Finally you take out a note pad and draw his chosen shape.

This effect is extremely strong and seems unbelievable when described. The magician shows a corked small clear glass bottle on the table. A paper roll is clearly seen inside the bottle, just like a message from someone lost on a desert island!
The magician asks a spectator to name a card, ANY CARD, and as she names the
selected card, the bottle is uncorked and the spectator himself takes the paper
roll out of the bottle. When the roll is unrolled, the named card appears on it!

The performer explains that he has a new computer program that allows him to win every time in poker without even using a computer. The performer then shows a CD that has ten face cards printed on one side, and card backs on the other. The performer hands a spectator five paper clips and the CD explaining that the spectator will pick out the performer's hand by clipping any five facedown cards and the remaining cards will be the spectator's hand.
The performer then asks the spectator to turn the CD face up showing the five clipped cards to be the winning hand!
