MENTALISM
Six envelopes, which are numbered from one to six are shown. In each envelope except one an amount of cash is placed. This can be a $20 bill, a $10 bill, a $5 bill, three $1 bills, and a $1 bill. In the sixth envelope a little note is placed which reads "TOO BAD YOU LOSE".
A spectator is called from the audience and handed a die. He is told that he will roll the die as many times as necessary. Whatever number is rolled on the die, that envelope is opened and removed from the table. The envelope that is left will be the spectator's. Of course the magician has COMPLETE CONTROL over this trick! The envelope that is left will have the message; "TOO BAD YOU LOSE".
This is a great comedy effect and can be used for that 'WISE' kid in the audience. After telling him that he had a chance to win from one to twenty-five dollars he will go back to his seat a little more humble. You might promise him a prize for helping you if he behaves the rest of the show.

The spectator is handed a small bag containing a small brass tube with a screw on top. Along with the tube, are five brass rods, each with a different set of rings scribed into one end. He is asked to secretly select a rod while the magician has his back turned. When he has selected his rod, he is then asked to place in into the tube and then place the other rods back in the bag, so the magician will have no clue of the location of any of the rods. When the magician turns around, he is able to announce the selected rod within the sealed tube!
This is a wonderful effect that is very well made. The rods and tube are all machine made high quality brass. Also included is a suede bag to hold and carry the props. Nothing in this effect is added or taken away. No questions asked, no magnets, peeks, or noises to interpret. Not a weight method and no sliding gimmick. The effect is self-contained. Also at the end all props are fully examinable. A high quality trick that leaves you clean at the end and ready to immediately repeat!

The
Attaboy is one of the finest mental magic effects on the market today. The
original creation is credited to Jack Hughes, who made several different models
working on the same basic principle. This Bellboy model is patterned after the
first model from which the trick got its name.
The
apparatus resembles a cut-out of a Bellboy, with two houlettes, one at his feet,
and one near his hands. The houlettes "will hold a deck of cards, and
cut-out fronts in the houlettes enable the audience to see inside.
A
pack of cards is displayed. This is an ordinary pack, which may be examined and
shuffled by the audience. or you could even use a borrowed deck if conditions
permit.
Spectator
freely selects one or more cards (the original Jack Hughes's routine specified
three cards) Cards are noted, shown to the audience, and shuffled back into the
pack.
The
pack is placed in the houlette at the bottom. The cards are now taken one at a
time from the houlette at the bottom, passed slowly in front of the Bellboy's
eyes, and dropped in to the houlette on top. The Spectators are invited to call
"Stop” whenever they like. When they call stop, the card stopped at,
which is still in performers hand is turned around to show the face, and it is
one of the selected cards. This is repeated for the other selected cards.
The
trick is absolutely amazing, because there is no force of a card, and the
spectators are free to stop you at any card as you slowly transfer them one at a
time from the houlette at the bottom to the houlette on top. The cards stopped
at are the very same cards selected by the audience. They may even be signed if you so wish.

This is a prop for some amazing mental effects, capable of two different types of presentations. The apparatus comprises of what appears to be an antique clock face in an opaque wooden case. The clock has only one hand, which can be turned and set to any hour. The box is completely opaque, so that when closed, there is no way for any one to tell the time to which the hour hand has been set.
There are two basic ways in which this apparatus can be used. 1. A spectator may secretly set the clock to any time, close the box, and the performer can know, and "mind-read" the time set. 2. With the box closed, the performer can secretly set the hour hand to any required time. This would be presented as a "prediction" effect, where the magician sets the time, and closes the box. A spectator then selects an hour, and when the box is opened, the time set by the magician is found to be correct. Or you could have the spectator take the credit, by being able to correctly divine an hour set by you on the: clock.
It is possible because of the special feature of being able to secretly set the time after the box has been closed. Although this seems like a fancy remote control electronic prop, it is in fact a cleverly designed piece of mechanical apparatus. There are no batteries, wires, or IC Chips to burn out or die in the middle of a performance.
