Ken grew up
in Atlanta, Georgia and his interest in magic began at the young age of eight
when his mother bought him his first magic trick. Ken found himself going to the
local magic shop whenever he had spare money to update his magic repertoire. He
often found himself showing off his magic talent at school for classmates. Ken's
interest grew even larger as he got older when he had the chance to travel the
country on tour. Ken was Fifteen when he was on tour with Daytona Magic. They
performed and lectured at magic clubs and conventions all over the country
including the prestigious “Magic Castle”, in Los Angeles, California. While
on tour, Ken had the chance to meet and learn from several famous celebrity
magicians such as Harry Anderson, from the TV program "Night Court",
Jay Johnson of "Soap", Harry Blackstone Jr., David Copperfield, &
Doug Henning.
When Ken
returned home from the tour, he decided that he wanted to do magic
professionally, so he put his own show together with illusions, music, comedy,
live animals and audience participation. In 1985 he was employed by the Burger
King Corporation as the “Burger King Magician.” Ken was twenty when he was
employed by Star 94 FM, a local radio station. He was the assistant morning show
producer to the Steve McCoy Morning Show. Several television appearances on NBC
NEWS were one of the highlights of his career. Ken was proud to be accepted as a
member to the esteemed “International Brotherhood of Magicians” and is also
is member of the Georgia Magic Club.
Ken has
several types of performances that vary from BIG Illusion shows to
Intimate Close-up Magic. His main goal is to entertain and to put
happiness and laughter into
his audience. Ken 's Magic is very professional entertainment that will create
