KID'S MAGIC

The Coloring Book is a favorite with many children's performers around the world. The performer displays a children's coloring book with black and white pictures. The children are asked to try and color the pictures by magic. They are told to rub their fingers on the colors on their clothes, and "throw the colors" at the book. When the book is now displayed, all the pictures have been fully colored.
The performer congratulates the audience on their magic abilities, and excellent artistic talents. However, he states he has to perform the same trick again for another show the next day, and since they have colored all the pictures, there will be no pictures left for the other children to color at the next performance. He asks his audience to help him erase some of the colors with imaginary "magic" erasers.
The children pantomime rubbing off the colors, and when the book is flipped through again, it is found to be entirely blank. Obviously they used too much magic. The performer requests them to draw some of the pictures with imaginary pencils. When the book is again flipped through, the black and white pictures are back in the book, ready for the next performance.
This is the most popular presentation, although you can vary the sequence in any way you wish. You can show the book completely blank, or with black and white pictures, or with colored pictures. This coloring book comes with various themes, Nursery Rhyme pictures or cute Monsters. You could embellish your presentation around these themes to make your routine as long or short as you wish.

The magician challenges a few children to a "bubble gum pulling contest." He hands each child a wrapped piece of gum and explains that whoever can stretch their gum the furthest wins. In turn, each child tries and can only get their gum to stretch a few feet, but when it's the magician's turn, he stretches his gum over twenty feet! The kids go wild with laughter.

WILLIE WABBIT & THE CARROTS by SUPREME MAGIC

This is a novel Three-Card Monte, which is great for kids or adult, shows. Three large cards, each measuring 9 1/2" X 6 3/4", are used, nothing else. The cards are nicely silk-screened in color. Two of them show carrots with green foliage, the other one shows a picture of Willie Wabbit himself. Willie is apparently very fond of popping into the farmer's field and stealing his carrots, and of course the farmer tries to catch him.
The children are asked to pretend they're the farmer and see if they can catch the rabbit. The cards are mixed and fanned out. Where is the rabbit? Why, that's easy, for his long pink ear can be seen in the middle. Cards are turned and the center card is pulled out and placed on a stand. The remaining two cards are shown and one is placed on each side of the rabbit. The magician lifts up the center card and the one on the left, saying that the audience will notice that the backs of the cards are the same. However, when he places the cards down he crosses his arms over and the card that was in the center is now over to the left. He states the rabbit card is in the middle, but the children lose no time in telling him that he really changed them over. However, when the card on the left is lifted up, it is seen to be the carrot card. The one on the right is lifted up, that is also a carrot card. The magician lifts the center card, holding it horizontally and gazing at it with disbelief. He turns the card around; it is seen to be the rabbit card. Very easy to do!
