STRAT-O-SPHERE by MAK MAGIC

stratosphere.jpg (15303 bytes)

This item tops the list! The Strat-O-Sphere is one of the most eye appealing effects. You are supplied with a tall clear plastic tube with metal ends. This rests in a base. A highly decorated metal tube and a wooden box are included. Three balls, each one 3 inches in diameter, are used. The balls are red, yellow, and green and match the tube decoration. This color match is for patter possibilities.

Although there is just room in the tube for the balls, one on top of the other, the ball placed on top of the three successively appears on the bottom of the stack of three, or in the center of the stack. One ball, the red one, always does the wandering. Finally, the magician takes this roaming ball and places it in the wooden box. Presto, he grasps the box by the ends of the doors and flips it open. THE BALL HAS VANISHED. The audience sees completely through the box. THE BALL REAPPEARS IN THE PLASTIC TUBE BETWEEN THE OTHER TWO.

This is just one quick sample routine; you receive several in the directions. You can pick and choose or make up your own. The balls are purposely made in red, yellow, and green, as many magicians like to do a traffic light patter. This is a story about the little light bulb replacer and how he is unable to get the red bulb where it should go. We have another routine with a silk that has the roaming sphere following its movements. This trick is self-contained and can be performed immediately, as it contains no sleights or intricate moves. COMES COMPLETE WITH THE MARK CARTER SCHOOL BUS KID SHOW ROUTINE.

Here is the newest wand creation from Steve Bender.  It is an effect that is good for a laugh and great at parties for picture taking.  All you need do is let the wand fall and aim it at the helper's head so they can be seen through the hole.   The wand is 18" x 48".  It was made this size so that it can easily fit into a suitcase table.  Definitely a hit at children's shows.  A must for clowns.

HOWZZAT THE MAGIC CLOWN

This is one of the best card in balloon ideas to come along in a long time! Show a very colorful wooden cutout of Howzzat The Clown. He stands about 18 inches tall and is silk screened in a zillion bright colors. In Howzzat's left hand is a top hat. In his right hand is nothing-for the moment. From a shuffled packet of cards, have a spectator select one card. Have the spectator sign the card. If you are working for very young children you can use Alphabet Cards or Picture Cards.

Have the spectator replace the card in the pack, shuffle the pack and place it inside Howzzat's top hat. Now, inflate a balloon and attach it to Howzzat's right hand. The fun begins! At your command, Howzzat tips to his right. The balloon bursts. And, the selected car appears in his hand!! It looks wild! It's as if he tossed the card from his top hat into his other hand totally visual. Howzzat is mechanical and self-contained; He packs down flat, yet plays so big! You will have a blast with this one!

MONKEY BUSINESS

Where he goes nobody knows! This is another lovely shouting routine for the children. In the effect by Derek Rutt you start off with your back to the audience and they see there is nothing on your back.

The monkey is in a Zoo and is put into a cage. He can be seen clearly through the bars. But every night he manages to escape. You place the cage behind your back and of course when you bring it to the front again he has gone!

But in the morning he is always back in his cage. Where he goes nobody knows! Again you place it behind your back and when it comes out surprise! He's back inside.

Here the children will soon let you know that funny business is going on behind your back and they will start to shout and ask you to turn it round...but you carry on and do it again and the monkey comes and goes at will. This you do many times until finally you turn the cage around but there is nothing on the other side!

"How does he escape?" you ask. "Ok I will show you". Then you go "1-2-3" and the monkey visually disappears as you let the cage fall open to really show that he really has gone.

"But where?" as you turn around to put the cage away...There on your back is the monkey surrounded by bananas, bananas, bananas! So that's where he goes!
