KID'S MAGIC
A tray is displayed with three glasses attached. Inside one of the glasses is a silk handkerchief. The handkerchief is caused to jump from one glass to another when the magician holds the tray behind his back. At first the audience will think that they have caught the magician turning the apparatus around. To everyone's surprise the silk handkerchief jumps to the middle glass right before their eyes. Very easy to do and can be done surrounded.

ENCHANTED NECKLACE (BEADS OF PRUSSIA)
A long clear plastic cylinder containing a stack of multi-colored wooden beads is shown. The beads are spilled out into a bowl to show that they are all separate and unattached. One by one the beads are dropped into the tube. A spectator can be asked to assist in this part of the effect. A wave of the marvelous wand and when the beads are tossed into the air, they have all joined together! They really are strung together!
A very pretty effect, and a strong piece of magic. You can use it in a silent act, or use the patter story about the princess and the beads to work the effect into your talking act. This effect is completely mechanical and easy to do.

Many
years ago the well known magician, Karrell Fox, called and asked the
manufacturer of this trick, Duane Laflin, if he could make a silk handkerchief
which was a picture of a magic hat. His idea was to use it with the theme of
magically pulling things out of a hat.
The
hat silk was manufactured and it was a very nice product. However, another year
went by before Karrell or Duane did anything with it. The original thought was
that it would be easy to build a routine around the picture silk involving a
variety of items. It is now evident that such is exactly the case. Yet neither
of them used the silk much until they thought of this; making a little bunny
picture silk that would be small enough to fit in a thumbtip. All of a sudden
they had a wonderful set of props that allowed them to tell a comedy version of
a traditional event in magic shows. Pulling a rabbit out of hat.
The
audience is shown a picture of a hat. The hat is shown on both sides. Next it is
draped over the magicians fist. The magician reaches into the center of the hat
and pulls out a small handkerchief which displays a picture of a rabbit. This
rabbit is made to vanish in the hand of the magician, only to once again appear
in the center of the hat. While this happens, a series of jokes are told that
relate to rabbits.
This
is presented as something people have heard about, but maybe never actually
seen. It is a common image for magic shows that a magician will pull a rabbit
out of a hat, Has anyone ever seen this happen? If they have not seen it, here
is their opportunity!
After
the effect is performed. The audience is told they have finally seen the famous
trick. "Yes, you can tell your friends you saw a magician pull a rabbit out
of a hat". (if someone says it is only a picture of a rabbit, the reply
would be, "No problem, it is only a picture of a hat!" The audience is
told there is more! Explanation is given that the rabbit they see is not just
any old rabbit, it is the "World's Smartest Rabbit"!
