COLOR CHANGING HAT

cchat.jpg (8822 bytes)

An assistant is asked to step on stage to help you with some different effects. A magic hat is placed on his head; and six times he is told that hat color doesn't seem to match his outfit. Six times his hat changes colors, until the last color, where the magician can produce a handkerchief from the previously empty hat.

This is made similarly to a GIZ-ZIN-TAH or GAG bag. You will have lots of fun with your young assistant. Remember; when you do magic for children it is more important to entertain them than baffle them. This prop is very entertaining.

SQUARE TO CIRCLE BAG

sqcirbag2.jpg (32821 bytes)

Four squares of material change to one larger circle of material in a change bag. When the change bag, which is square, is turned inside out, it too changes to a circle. The square bag is shown empty by turning it inside out. It is then turned right side out, and one by one, four squares of material are placed into the empty pocket. Attention is drawn to the fact that the bag is square, and that you have placed four squares inside it. The bag is now turned inside out again, however this time inside is one round or circle of cloth.

The audience is told that the four cloths, which were once square, have now become one round cloth. The bag is turned inside out a second time and actually has turned "round". This is a delightful baffling effect. Wonderful for pre-school shows where the children are learning shapes.

NO WAY SPIDER WEB by NED WAY

nuwayspid.jpg (20530 bytes)

This trick is an excellent way to communicate a strong message whether it is gospel, "Say no to drugs", avoiding pear pressure or dangerous situations. This will become a favorite effect of yours. The idea came from combining two great effects. The spider came from Rice's Encyclopedia of Silks, Vol. 1, put together with the ease of the familiar cargo net vanish. This trick is very versatile for a number of routines. A few examples are included with the effect.

A large spider is silk screened on a cloth web. Five silks are seen dangling tight in the clutches of the spider. One by one the silks are removed and placed in a rolled newspaper. The newspaper is then unrolled. All silks are now seen back in place in the grapple of the evil spider.

GOSPEL PRESENTATION: The illustration we include is from James 1: 15. Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only.

Comes complete with all the silks you need. Beautifully silk-screened. Big enough for large auditoriums.

CRAZY CIRCLES AND SQUARES

This is a pack flat prop, that occupies negligible space in your bag of tricks, and gives you several minutes of entertainment in your act.

The performer displays a long strip of board, showing four red circles, and a green square on top. He passes the strip behind his back, and the green square is now at the bottom, with the four red circles on top. The audience is obviously not impressed, as they tell the performer lie is simply turning the strip over.

Our "hard of hearing" performer doesn't notice, and repeats the effect once again, passing the strip behind his back, and transferring the green square from bottom to top. At this stage the hoots and boos get louder, and the performer realizes the audience is accusing him of simply turning the strip over. He pleads his innocence, as he does "turn the strip over", and on the other side are five squares in different colors.

That is not what the audience had meant by "turning the strip over." So the performer turns the strip "around," and the five different colored squares have turned "round" to five different colored circles! At this stage the audience believe the trick is as crazy as the performer. Once again the performer turns the strip over, and now it shows alternating squares and circles, leaving the audience as confused and muddled as the circles and squares.

Very easy to do. Wonderful for clowns, children's performers Master of Ceremonies or comedy magicians.
