GOSPEL MAGIC
An entirely different lesson using the same method as Jonah and The Whale Center Tear. A large 11" x 17" sheet of paper is shown with the Ten Commandments on one side and the Rural Mail Regulations on the other. When you perform the tear, you remove the Fifth Commandment on one side and the box location regulations on the other. It illustrates how rules, including the Ten Commandments, must be followed.

JONAH AND THE WHALE CENTER TEAR
A large 11" x 17" sheet of paper with a big whale printed in the center, and the words of Jesus as told in Matthew 12 regarding the prophet Jonah. On the reverse side is a picture of the tomb with more of Jesus' words. Performer quarter-folds the paper and tears out the picture of the big whale, telling that many do not believe the Jonah story and feel it should be removed from the Bible. But when he unfolds the torn piece with the whale and turns it over, he shows that the tomb has also been torn out.
This center piece is then torn into smaller pieces which are dropped into the folds of the paper. The large sheet is immediately opened and seen to be whole again. It is very easy to do. You'll love it! John J. DeVries' original routine is included. Includes enough papers for eight performances.

This routine is easy to perform, always ready and shows well from a platform. It comes with excellent instructions with many religious applications.
The performer unfolds a large paper square which has a number of red hearts and blue stars printed on each side. He refolds it and makes one straight cut with his scissors then shows the pieces that were cut away. The result is that with one cut of the scissors, he has removed all of the red hearts. Then he opens up the paper and shows that what has been left behind is a delicate lacy checker board with only the blue stars. This is very effective and you get enough papers for twelve performances.

A picture is shown of reading glasses and a pair of praying hands (pointing up). The story line tells of the obstacles the devil puts in front of us as we go through our daily lives. The story deals with issues such as; witnessing, tithing, attending church and our prayers for guidance, stronger faith, etc. The paper is folded down with the words "Trust in GOD, The Father". This is a quick effect that can be carried in your pocket.
