GOSPEL MAGIC
A very visual trick...large enough for platform or close up audience participation. Performer holds up a large card folder (8-1/2" x 11") with a picture of a church printed on the front. He explains that in MY CHURCH many miracles happen. Next he displays four white printed cards (approximately 5-1/2" x 8-1/2") each with a different word -- ANGER, GREED, HATE, AND ENVY. Some refer to them as Mr. Hate, Mr. Envy, etc. Performer then gives a short message on each of the cards as he places them in the church folder.
When withdrawn, they are all assorted color cards saying PEACE, JOY, HAPPINESS, and LOVE. Of course, he takes time to recite short messages on each of these subjects. The church folder is then opened, showing a large picture of Christ. Performer closes by saying "Christ was found in my church and lives were changed." This trick is self contained and very easy to do.

THE ULTIMATE CHRISTIAN PAPER TEAR
People's lives can become as thin as the strip of paper that you show the spectator's. The paper which is all blotched with spots is freely displayed. Three more pieces of paper (different colors) are shown. Appropriate patter for each color is introduced. They are torn into strips and folded into a small packet. Performer explains how God can remold us.
When the packet is opened, the torn pieces have vanished and a four-color portrait of Jesus is shown. An explanation is given about God's forgiving power. This is an excellent effect for anyone working with children.

This effect is the exact same thing as the Hidden House. It has a slightly different paint job to make it look like a church. A wooden box is shown to the audience to be empty. When the magician reaches inside, he is able to produce streamers, spring flowers, or any small prop. The magician again shows the box to be completely empty. He sets it on a table and when the box is lifted up, a beautifully painted wooden house appears. You can do many routines with this fine prop.
One routine is to say you own a silk factory. Produce a Jesus silk and then show your factory to be a church where you learned about God. Another idea is to make silks disappear and produce a Church from the vanished silks. You can also use this for vanishing something (for example in a change bag) and making it appear in a house, produced out of an empty tube. This prop may be used also with spring flowers. This is a well-made wooden item. All silk-screened, for a beautiful vibrant colors. A colorful item that children will enjoy.

VISUAL GOSPEL MAGIC AT ITS BEST (This is a 21st Century version of the old Dock Haley Gossip Box.) Three "soiled" handkerchiefs are placed into the "ALL HAVE SINNED" box as the performer proceeds to tell the damage that even the smallest sin can do to people. As the performer points to the word "ALL", and begins to tell how God can cleanse us from all sin, the box is turned over to show the "Life" side.
The top is opened and the three hankies are removed and found to be very clean and white. The trick is now accomplished, but it is evident that the audience is not satisfied and they want to see what's left in the box. After a bit of by-play and hesitancy, slowly open the box, tearing it to pieces, showing it to be completely empty.

In this effect by Kerry Kistler A dream is shared of waiting in line to get into heaven. Suddenly you notice that you have an Invitation. Something you accepted years ago. Another person in line, who does not have an invitation, grabs yours and tears it into three parts. Keeping two parts for himself he returns the third part to you. As he reaches the front of the line and hands his invitation to the angel.
The pieces are unfolded and reveal the word "Hell". The stolen parts of the invitation do not allow him entrance into heaven. As you reach the gate and your paper is unfolded, the angels face changes to reveal his true identity... Jesus. He holds up your remaining scrap of paper for all to see as he says, "This invitation is authentic, for it bears the stamp of my name." He turns the paper around to reveal His name, written in red.
This paper tear is not only easy to do, but presents a great lesson on the importance of accepting Jesus invitation and inviting others to do likewise.
