GENERAL MAGIC

You display two different colored ribbons fixed on two wands of two similar colors. A Black Wand is threaded on the ribbons, and can be pulled along the ribbons from one wand to the other. As you pull the black Wand, the ribbons will magically transpose from one side of the wand to the other. Pull the black wand from the top wand right to the bottom. Then turn the wands, bringing the wand at the bottom to the top and repeat as often as you like.
An oldie, that is more of a novelty than a magic effect, and looks good with the wands. Well made, low cost, gift or promotional item.

In this effect by Daniel Greenwolf, after talking about the legend of "The Wicker Man," the magician removes an 8-inch tall doll of straw and string and places it on his empty hand. Slowly, the doll starts to stand up until it is completely vertical, almost looking at the audience. Then, it slowly lies back down in the magician's hand.

These are a well-made pair of nesting Chests. They enable you to secretly introduce an item into the inner locked chest, making possible some very strong magic.
This is a sample effect with this prop. The performer borrows a high denomination bill from a spectator. The spectator is asked to ensure he can identify his bill, by signing it or noting the serial number. The bill is placed under a handkerchief, and given to the spectator to hold. The performer now introduces a wooden chest, which is locked. The chest is given to a second spectator to hold, along with the keys to the lock. Approaching the spectator holding the bill, the handkerchief is whipped away, and the bill has vanished. The performer asks the spectator holding the chest to open it. When he does so, he finds inside a second smaller chest, which he lifts out. When this chest is opened, the borrowed bill is found inside. This is just one sample routine, and many others can be performed with this versatile apparatus. The construction of the boxes is similar to the Locked Box, or Lippincott Box, using a pair of nesting Boxes, which lock together. Extremely novel and versatile, we know this will soon become one of your favorites. You will use it close-up or on stage, an equally devastating effect. Just imagine, two members of the audience are asked to assist you. One is given a small bag to hold and a sealed envelope.
Another spectator is asked to loan you any coin, or you can use a borrowed Treasury Note if you wish, or a ring. The ring, the coin, or what have you is wrapped in a handkerchief and given to the spectator to hold. The audience may wonder what's inside the bag, you say, and you take this from the spectator and produce from it a locked wooden box. The spectator who is holding the bag examines the box and places the box inside the bag. He still continues holding this for a few moments.
Spectator confirms that he still has his coin, ring, or Treasury Note. Suddenly the handkerchief is snatched away. The item has gone. The spectator holding the bag is asked to open it up and once again remove the box. It's still locked. When the spectator opens the envelope, which has remained in his possession throughout the entire effect, inside is the key which opens the padlock that enables the lid of the box to be opened. And inside is the actual vanished article. No switches. No exchanges. Easy to do. You will say it is a great concept in magic.
If you like, you can use the 'Locked Box Mystery' for a prediction. Opening the box, inside can be a piece of paper on which is written the day's headlines, or the winner of the football pools, or an election result. If you wish, the box can be casually shown prior to being placed into the bag and given to a spectator to hold. It's a truly great effect.
