COCKTAIL SHAKER OR NIFFEN BOTTLE
The Niffen Bottle or Cocktail Shaker is one of the most versatile exchange canisters ever made. Easy to use, deceptive and magical. In the effect the performer shows a gleaming stainless steel shaker to be empty. He pours in a glass of red wine (or colored liquid). Gives the shaker a 'shake' and when he unscrews the top he produces an 18" silk hand the color of the liquid! There is no sign of the liquid. Note: The effect may be performed in REVERSE as well!
In another effect the performer places a scoop of sugar into the canister along with a few drops of food coloring. He gives the shaker a shake and removes the lid, pouring forth a glass full of colored gum balls! In yet another effect a variety of colored silk hanks are stuffed into the shaker. The lid replaced and the shaker shaken. When the lid is removed, the various silk hanks have changed into one larger multicolored 18" silk.
Blendo flag effects are possible. Liquids to solid and solids to liquids. Place three colored silks into the shaker and pour out three matching colored drinks! A glass of milk is sitting on the table. It is picked up, and poured into a paper cone. The rest of the milk in the glass is poured into a small 4 oz. glass. The magic wand is waved, the paper cone is crushed, and the milk has vanished. The small glass of milk is now poured into the large one, and fills the large one completely.
The vanished milk has now reappeared back in the large glass.
