GENERAL MAGIC
The magician displays a wooden tray containing four metal cards red, blue, green, and yellow. He also shows a wooden frame. Clipped to the frame are four clothespins colored to match the cards. Hanging from each clothespin is a matching ribbon. The magician asks a spectator to select one of the cards from the tray while he turns his back. The magician (still turned around) asks the spectator to replace the card in the tray.
Now the magician turns and points to the tray and asks the spectator to think of the card that he selected. The magician picks up the frame and holds it in front of him as he concentrates on the spectator's selection; suddenly one of the clothespins flies straight up into the air with the ribbon flowing beautifully behind. Of course it is the clothespin that matches the spectator's selection.

This
is an incredible visual penetration of a solid six sided block through an
examined metal plate. Performer displays a square wooden tube with two cut outs
on front and back, enabling the audience to see there is nothing concealed in
the tube.
A
large square die, (approximately 4" on all sides) is displayed. The die is
a solid one, and all six sides may be tapped with a wand to establish it's solid
nature. An examined metal plate is now introduced through two slots on the sides
of the tube, dividing this into two compartments. The metal plate projects on
both sides of the cylinder, and fills the entire inside.
The
die is dropped into the top of the tube . It rests on top of the metal plate, in
the upper half of the cylinder, and is clearly visible through the large cut
outs on front and back.
The
magician claims he will cause the die to penetrate the metal plate, just like a
ghost walking through a wall.
He
strokes the sides of the tube, and visibly the die penetrates through the plate,
to the bottom half of the cylinder. Again this is clearly visible through the
large cut outs on front and back of tube, and is now seen resting in the bottom
half of the tube, under the plate.
The plate is immediately removed and handed out for examination. It is a solid metal plate, with no trap doors or holes. The die is tipped out of the tube, and shown to be solid, and the tube seen to be clearly empty.
