A solid through a solid effect. This has always been an amazing magic trick. A 4" x 6" plastic frame with a piece of solid Plexiglas is handed out for examination. It is obvious that a solid can not pass through the Plexiglas. However, you can push a pencil through the glass board when no one else can. You can even pull visibly through the glass board. When the pencil or silk is removed and the glass board is handed out for examination, no hole can be found.

I would like to tell you a story about a circus magician who was asked to help out with a problem. The ringmaster needed two belts made but only had one piece of material. Now that was the easy problem. The magician tears the material in two pieces and hands the ringmaster two belts. The ringmaster states there is still a small problem, one belt is needed for the fat man. The magician takes one of the belts and gives it a tear and makes a large belt, now the problem is solved. "Oh, no!" cries the ringmaster, "I need a belt for the Siamese twins!" What will the magician do? He takes the second belt gives it a tear and has two belts linked together just right for the Siamese twins. The problem is solved with a little "MAGIC".

Both sides of the paper can be freely shown, the paper can even be turned upside down! The paper is again folded into quarters, and the water poured out of it back into the glass!

When I first received this item in stock, I thought WOW, a new six way coloring book for kid shows. Then I opened the book and thumbed through the pages. Not for kid shows! Not for clowns. But certainly for people who like geek stuff. This book is actually the story of the famous Indian Rope Trick, just as it is described in the ancient texts.
The book is first shown to be empty. The second time the book is flipped open, eight famous monuments of the world like the pyramids and the Eiffel Tower are shown. The third time you flip the book you are in India where an Indian Mystic is playing an ancient instrument and a rope is climbing out of a basket into the clouds. Next a small boy climbs the rope and disappears. The mystic now climbs the rope with sword in belt. The last flip of the book shows body parts falling down into the basket, but fear not, for the boy reappears unharmed with a big smile on his face.
A conversation piece and a lesson in magic history? YES! Birthday party material? NO. The book is done with all photos, not line drawings.
