Origami has been around for a very long time and of all the folds people do, the rose is one of the most beautiful. The authors of this manuscript bring to you two variations of classical magic effects worked into a presentation with the making of a beautiful souvenir prop.

The first sixteen pages of this manuscript take you step by step through the making of the rose. The drawings make it very easy to follow and you will be a "pro" in about a half-hour.

Next you learn step by step how to have a selected signed card, which has been destroyed, by tearing into small pieces, vanish and reappear in the deck. The card reappears minus one corner. The matching corner appears in the paper rose, which was previously given to the spectator.

Finally you learn to take a borrowed ring, vanish it and make it reappear on the rose. You receive a 27 page manuscript, sample paper napkins and special gimmicked handkerchief for the ring trick.

This is a classic piece of apparatus, originally designed to reproduce a vanished handkerchief inside a clear glass tumbler. We now offer you this in painted spun metal, to give you a very attractive and useful piece of apparatus. You could also use it for a little more than reproducing a silk handkerchief, as the instructions will indicate. You can comfortably use a 12" silk, larger ones of a finer variety, diamond cut 18" or more than one 6" or 9" silks.

The glass (obviously empty) is placed on the pedestal, and covered with the cylinder. As you cover the glass, the silk is automatically loaded with a working of the mechanism. You now vanish a duplicate silk, (bare handed, or with some prop like a thumb tip), then lift off the cylinder to show the silk has magically reappeared in the glass. Remove the silk from the glass first to display it, then lift off the glass from the pedestal.

You could use the vanish and re-production of the silk as a complete effect, or work it into a routine. For example if you use smaller silks, it is possible to have two or more different colored silks concealed in the apparatus. You could now vanish duplicates of these one at a time, and re-produce them one at a time in the empty glass.

This prop can also be used with items other than silks. For example the gimmick will comfortably hold four 2" sponge balls. Vanish the balls after your sponge ball routine, and have them all reappear in the empty glass. The best part of this is that you can lift off the glass from the pedestal, and pour out the sponge balls. They do not fall out at the bottom, and the handling subtly reinforces the illusion of a regular glass. You could use this with other sponge items as well.

Another totally different type of presentation would be similar to that with a Bill Tube. A dollar bill is borrowed, the number noted, and the bill signed. It is folded into a small packet, covered by a handkerchief and given to spectator to hold. The empty glass is displayed, placed on the pedestal, and covered with the cylinder. Handkerchief is whisked away to show that the bill has vanished. Cylinder is lifted from over the glass to show note has appeared inside the glass. The glass is lifted up and the bill visibly is poured into the hand of the spectator who loaned this to you to confirm it bears the same number.

We supply you a complete outfit, with a matching pedestal, tumbler, and cylinder. However, you may prefer to replace the cylinder with a simpler and more innocent one, made of stiff paper, shown flat on both sides, rolled into a cylinder and held by an elastic band. We leave this to your discretion.

Basic effect: A clear jug of water is shown. At anytime during the performance the magician can turn the water as black as night with simple shake. UNDER FULL CONTROL OF THE PERFORMER OR EVEN IN THE AUDIENCE'S HANDS, the water can be visually made clear. Supplies and advanced routines included.

An empty, glassy crystal-like cube on a nice pedestal is shown (see the picture). The magician shows a flower to the audience and throws it into the cube. Upon picking up the cube quickly off the pedestal, a beautiful nine-bloomed bouquet appears on the pedestal.
