P.O.W.E.R. DELUXE
The name of this effect is an acronym for Preserving Our Water with Environmental Recycling because it was originally invented to use in an environmental theme. If you do not perform environmental magic, don't let that dissuade you from buying this strong, visual, effect.
This is an updated version of Meyer's Think Ink, which appears in his book, Magic in the Modern Manner. Unlike Think Ink, P.O.W.E.R. does not require the pouring of water from one container to another. Also, you will be able to reverse the color change.
You show a transparent jug of clear water. As you speak to your audience, you can turn the water inky black. Then after showing it all around, the black water slowly (or quickly) becomes clear again.
A second effect is provided, with an empty plastic cup, into which you pour water from the jug. When the water is poured back into the jug, it forms swirls of darkness that eventually overtake the entire jug. When you pour the black liquid back into the cup again, it clarifies (as does the entire contents of the jug).
Included is an extensive, 11-page set of instructions, which gives you a step-by-step tour through effect. The chemicals provided are non-toxic, have an unlimited shelf life and are safe for the environment. Included with the instructions is a script for a fable in which animals teach people about the importance of preserving water.
