MARTIN'S
CLOSE-UP MIRACLES ON DVD by MARTIN LEWIS

Martin Lewis is a consummate professional who has traveled the world
performing every type magic show possible. He is one of the very few magicians
who are equally as skilled in both stage and close-up magic. His routines are
all fast paced, humorous and intrinsically magical. This video features Martin
performing two different close-up magic shows in front of a live audience. He
then teaches all the routines in great detail. You will also get to experience
the comedy and professional routining that have earned him a worldwide
reputation.
ROUTINES PERFORMED AND EXPLAINED
- Queenie, The Amazing Dancing Girl: A fast paced Three Card Monte
type routine where the money card is all over the place, but never where you
expect it.
- Sidewalk Shuffle: Martin presents his handling to one of the
best-selling card routines of all time. It is also the one he invented and
is best known for.
- The Odd Card: An impossible Monte routine with jumbo cards where
the money card vanishes and a joker is found in its place.
- Spec Deck: A funny routine where a selected card is found through
the markings it develops on it's back.
- The Stampede Second: A second dealing demonstration where a postage
stamp is placed on the top card of the deck and the cards beneath it are
visually dealt off the deck. When you stop the stamp is found permanently
adhered to a previously selected card.
- Dice Propagation: A routine using three dice and a dice cup where
the dice vanish, appear, shrink, change color, expand and finally multiply
to fill the table with dice.
- Spelling Collins' Aces: The four aces vanish from four different
packets of cards. The cards are gathered and the aces are found by spelling
to them.
- Point of Arrival: Two cards are selected and signed. Ten cards are
wrapped in a handkerchief and held by a spectator. The two selections vanish
from the deck and appear inside the handkerchief.
- The Computer Cards: A selected card is lost in the deck. Using some
computer cards and the spectator's responses the selected card is found even
though the spectator is allowed to lie.
- Rabbit Test: A cute packet trick with rabbits that fall in love and
multiply.
- Texas Money: A borrowed penny and a silver dollar change places,
shrink and expand to many times their original size.
- Impossible Miniature Card Rise: Two cards are selected and lost in
a miniature deck. The deck is placed under a drinking glass and the two
selections visually rise out of the deck. Everything is examinable.
- Color Changing Pencil: A red pencil changes to blue as it is pushed
through your fist.
Sinister Glimpse: A clever method of glimpsing a peeked at card while
it is still in the center of the deck.
- Bridge Hand Steal: A simple technique for stealing one card from a
fan.
- Tosser Coin Switch: A visually satisfying method for switching
coins.
This DVD is full of polished, professional caliber routines which are strong
and usable. Originally released as a video in 1994.

IMPOSSIBLE
CLOSE-UP MAGIC by RAY KOSBY

Ray Kosby is one of the most creative close-up magicians you will see. He
comes up with original and often offbeat effects and his methods are just as
wild. The strength behind his magic is that his routines will fool you.
Audiences gasp at his effects -- when they are not speechless all they can say
is, WOW! Try to figure out how he accomplishes the routines on this program
without watching the explanations -- he will absolutely fool you -- you will
have no clue as to how Ray accomplishes these impossibilities.
Routines performed and explained
- Silver and Bone: A two phase routine which starts with a coin
visually penetrating through your hand and concluding with a visual
transposition between a half dollar and a jumbo coin.
- Sidewinder Pretzel: An ordinary pretzel stick is bent at right
angles and then twisted into the standard pretzel design.
- Rubber Nightmare: A large rubber band is split into three equal
sized bands and then the three bands are shown to be of different lengths --
a small, medium and large. The professor's Nightmare with rubber bands?
- Square One: A startling coin assembly with no covers where the
coins assemble to one spot on the table and instantly jump back to the four
corners.
- The Bite: Ray's trademark routine where he takes a bite out of a
red apple and a moment later he is seen holding a green apple with the same
bite missing. No switches and no sleight-of-hand used.
- Twixt the Threads: A coin penetrates through the center of a
handkerchief.
- Osmosis: A ball visually penetrates through the center of a clear
plastic bag.
- The Picnic Trick: A can of soda is popped open so the liquid
splashes. You rub the opening of the can and it heals itself so it is as
good as new.
- 1 2 3 4: Four sponge cubes are produced and placed in your fist.
The fist is opened to show a giant number "4" made out of sponge.
The "4" is then ripped into four separate cubes.
The methods are all straight forward and vary in difficulty from self-working
to difficult. You will love the magic on this tape. Truly something for
everyone. Running time: Approximately 60 minutes.

IMPOSSIBLE
CARD MAGIC by RAY KOSBY

Ray Kosby's card magic is quick, visual, and is guaranteed to have a powerful
impact on any audience. Impossible Card Magic is a perfect title for this
program. Every item is impossible to figure out when you first see it -- you
will be fooled. All the routines are very creative in both effect and method.
The skill level ranges from intermediate to advanced but the effort involved in
learning these routines will surely put you ahead of the crowd.
Routines performed and explained
- Smudge: The card case is used as a vacuum cleaner to visually erase
the center pip of a three. The three is now a two and an ace is found inside
the card case.
- Recased: The cards are removed from a card case and the case is put
away. In an instant the case is back in your hand with the cards back
inside.
- Pac Jacks: A sandwich routine where fifty-one cards visually appear
sandwiched between two jacks while the selection remains in the hand where
the deck was a moment ago.
- Deep Thought: A spectator thinks of a card seen in the deck. The
deck is shuffled and fanned. A single card is pulled out of the fan so it
sticks out of the deck. The spectator names her card as the deck is turned
over to show the card sticking out of it is the thought-of selection.
- Raise Rise: One of the routines Ray is best known for is this
visual ambitious card sequence where a signed selection is placed near the
bottom of the deck so it sticks out half its length. All of a sudden it
visually jumps to the middle, near the top, it becomes the top card and
finally ends up on the bottom of the deck -- you will not believe your eyes.
- Venus Fly Trap: Two queens are placed together face up in the deck
so they are sticking out for half their length. A card is selected and
placed face down protruding from the deck. In an instant the two queens seem
to jump through the deck and encircle the selection.
- Half Right: A quick and visual torn-and-restored card routine where
a card is torn in half and then restored as the spectator pulls it out of
the deck.
- Freedom Of Choice: A spectator freely touches the backs of four
cards as the deck is being spread between your hands. The touched cards are
pushed forward. When the spread is turned up the four cards are shockingly
seen to be the four aces.
- Oil And Water: A devious three phase oil and water routine like no
other. It is quick, visual and easy to follow as four red cards and four
black cards magically separate and remix.
- The Other Cheek: Three selected cards are held face down in your
hand. A quick shake causes them to visually turn face up one at a time. The
effect and method are unbelievable.
- Jack In Box: A jack is placed on top of a card case and in an
instant it vanishes to reappear inside the case.
- Out Of Space: An impossible looking routine which begins with four
kings. As the kings are counted three aces appear between them. The aces are
placed on the table as the four kings magically change into the fourth ace.
The program is full of impossible card magic that will fool and entertain.
Running time: Approximately 60 minutes.

FIVE MINUTES WITH A POCKET HANDKERCHIEF by QUENTIN REYNOLDS
ON DVD

An entire act that fits in your pocket featuring the hilarious Magic Mouse.
Quentin Reynolds is a professional magician whose specialty is children's shows.
The routine taught on this DVD is the highlight of his show -- a polished
five-minute act which is accomplished with nothing more than an ordinary
pocket-handkerchief.
You are treated to a live performance in front of a classroom of children
where Quentin brings the kids to a frenzy using this handkerchief routine and
the many gags and touches which make it a masterpiece. Following the performance
you are taught everything you need to know to perform the act.
The routine is a brisk and upbeat sequence of effects that begins with a
stretching handkerchief, a series of knots and culminates with the animation of
the Magic Mouse. It is adaptable for most performing situations such as stage,
parlor, close-up, walk-around, kids, adults, yet it still fits in your pocket
and is very easy to do.
EFFECTS AND SEQUENCES TAUGHT
- The Stretching Hank: A handkerchief is stretched to twice its original
size.
- The Jumping Hank: A handkerchief repeatedly jumps out of your hands and
into the audience.
- Karrell Fox's Knifty-Knot: No matter how hard you try to tie a knot in the
handkerchief it keeps disintegrating.
- Karrell Fox's No Not: You finally make a knot but it magically unties when
a spectator blows on it.
- Stand-Up Hank: The handkerchief is made to stand on end and fall on
command.
- The Magic Mouse: The handkerchief is folded into a hat, an iron, an
earring, a moustache, and finally into a mouse. The mouse is wound up and
begins to wiggle its tail. The mouse seems to come to life as it runs up and
down your arm, around your neck, and then leaps into the audience - making
them scream with fright. The mouse's tail is pulled and it turns back into a
handkerchief. The handkerchief is folded and put back in your pocket. The
act is now completely reset for your next show.
In addition to the above you are also taught: Frank Garcia's Iron Gag,
Stewart Judah's Watch-winder Gag, tips from George Sands, Harry Blackstone, Sr.,
Dan Garrett, Martin Gardner, and tons of jokes, gags, by-play, tidbits, and
advice which can only be learned from years of continuous performance. Includes
a discussion on making the routine even stronger and much more. Running time:
Approximately 45 minutes.
Special DVD Features
- An additional 17 minutes of footage discussing presentational ideas,
routine development, how to create your own act, a production finale and
more.
- Instant access to performances and explanations
- DVD trailers
- Dolby Digital sound

BAND-SHARK by DAN HARLAN

Dan Harlan was instrumental in popularizing magic with rubber bands and is
widely considered a master of rubber band magic. On this DVD he teaches the
original routines and techniques that gave him his worldwide reputation. You

situations.
Routines performed and explained

- Instant Separation: Four rubber bands are wrapped around your
fingers and fist but when the hand is shaken each of the rubber bands ends
up on a different finger.

Incredible Shrinking Rubber Band: A rubber band visibly shrinks until it is
so small it disappears.
- Rubber Ring Flight: A borrowed finger ring vanishes and visually
reappears tied to a rubber band.
- Another Ringer: A variation of Bill Kalush's Rubber Ringer where a
finger ring links and unlinks to a rubber band.
- Joint Venture: A rubber band is wrapped around your finger and
magically penetrates right through it. The sequence is repeated under more
impossible conditions.

addition to the above routines Dan also teaches variations, applications and
ideas to further enhance the magic. A Meir Yedid Magic product (from the A-1
