CLOSE-UP MAGIC
The Vanishing Jet Plane has become one of the most talked about effects in magic, ever since David Copperfield presented it in one of his annual spectaculars. This "poor man's" pocket size version of this Jumbo effect makes for a cute close-up, bar or small platform item.
In effect performer displays a cut out frame with a picture of a jet plane on the runway. The back of the frame depicts spectators. The picture is pulled out of the frame, and the back shows some of the spectators walking onto the plane. The picture is pushed back into the frame, a few magic gestures made, and the frame turned around to show the plane has completely vanished. The picture is then removed from the frame and shown on reverse, and the plane is seen to have vanished from the reverse as well. The picture can be handed out for examination and the frame seen right through, is clearly empty. The apparatus supplied for this effect makes this almost automatic in working.

The magician shows his left hand to contain a black poker chip and his right hand to contain a white poker chip. When he closes his hands and re-opens them, the chips have changed places with each other. Once again the magi closes his hands and upon re-opening them the chips are back where they started.
Sensing that the spectator has caught on, the magician slides the black chip across the white chip, instantly changing it to red. While the spectator is rubbing his eyes in disbelief, the magi now slides the white chip over the red chip, instantly changing it to green. The chips are turned over to reveal that the black and white have totally vanished, leaving behind green and red.
The spectator is now free to inspect the chips till his heart's content. This is a true close-up miracle that can be kept in your pocket and ready to perform at a moments notice.

The
performer displays a miniature photo frame with the picture of a fully dressed
lady. Showing the frame all around, and his hands clearly empty, he passes his
hand in front of the frame. As the hand moves past the picture, the dress on the
lady in the picture has vanished, and the lady is now seen attired in a bikini.
He attempts to repeat the effect, and this time makes the bikini vanish.
Showing
his hand empty, he passes it in front of the frame once again. The magic seems
to be stronger than expected, because when the picture comes into view, not only
has the bikini vanished, but so has most of the lady, leaving behind just a
skeleton in her place! In this effect you use inserts #1, #2, & #4. Instead
of the skeleton you can use #1, # 2, & #3 to completely make the top cloths
disappear. Although this little
effect is suggestive it uses no naked pictures.
It is designed for adult close-up workers. The frame can be handed over
for examination. And your hands are completely empty.
The great "Passé-Passé" effect with two beautifully made, flat plastic dice. One of them has a 4-spot on top, a 3-spot underneath; the other one a 5-spot on top, a 2-spot underneath. Magician explains that the opposite side of each of the die totals seven. Quicker than a wink, the dice change places over and over again.
Everything is done so visually that the audience will credit you with amazing
sleight-of-hand, and yet none is needed! It's all made easy by the special set
of dice supplied. No shells, magnets, sliding parts, etc! At the end both dice
are tossed down for examination.

In this effect created by Paul Vigil, with handling by Paul Harris you bring the crowd in close, then open a small pocket knife. Your hands are otherwise empty. The blade is seen to be normal.
Placing blade on bare flesh, you pierce a fingertip and squeeze out a single drop of blood.
Again, both hands are seen to be completely empty except for the single drop of blood on your fingertip.
You carefully show both sides of a fingertip from your other hand...and slowly press it down onto the drop of blood. You silently wait there for a moment...fingertip to fingertip. You slowly lift one finger...and the drop of blood is gone! In its place, perched on the end of your finger, is a living breathing ladybug!
