CLOSE-UP MAGIC
The magician shows a small brass cylinder that has an upper and lower container that screw together. He also shows 5 different color brass discs, each having a hole through the center. A brass rod, attached by one end to a rope, is also passed out for examination. The magician asks a spectator to mentally choose and memorize a colored disc. The spectator shuffles the discs. Then the discs are placed in the lower half of the cylinder. The top is screwed on to enclose all of the discs. The container also has two holes, one on each end. The rod is threaded through the cylinder and both ends of the rope are held by the spectator. When the magician opens the cylinder, the chosen color falls out and the rest remain attached to the rope! At this point the trick is 100% examinable.
This is a new conception in a close-up trick combined with mental effect and penetration effect. A very visual trick that can be repeated at any time. All props are fully examinable! The contents of this trick are made of high quality brass.

A small palette is open up to show two spots of different colors. The magician closes the palette and when it is opened again the spots have changed colors. Then the magician brushes his hand over the palette and the spots change colors again. The palette is then handed out for examination.
This is a great routine and very easy. A self-working effect with a colorful ending.

A key is shown by the performer, which looks perfectly normal, but suddenly strange things begin to happen. The teeth of the key are moved half way down the shaft. Then the performer revolves the teeth so that they are at right angles to the shaft and the round head of the key. Finally, the teeth are brought right down to the base of the key, still at right angles to the round head, and turned 180 degrees to the other side and then passed to the audience for examination.
Needless to say, they haven't got a clue. This is a wonderful effect with very fine quality materials. First of all, the key is a normal key not decorated to look like a magician's prop. It is precision made with a perfecting round steel bar shaft. The teeth have been fashioned in brass and are silver-welded to the shaft. Also the key has been chrome plated and then plated again with 24 carat gold. This gives a polished brass effect, but the key will not tarnish. A fantastic visual effect.
