DOUBLE CHANGE HOT ROD by HARRY ALLEN
The magician displays a brass rod with six colors. The colors are green, yellow, red, white, blue, and black. The colors are in this order on the front and back of the rod. The spectator is then asked to freely select any of the six colors.
The magician then shakes the rod and the spectators color jumps to a different location on the rod. Once again the rod is shown front and back. The magician shakes the rod again and the selected color has jumped back to its previous location on both rods. The magician then asks a second spectator to select any number from 1 to 6. He then counts to a selected number on the rod. This brings him to a new color, let's say red. The rod is then slid through the magician's hand changing all the colors to red.
Now for the amazing part. The rod is again shown front and back and handed to the spectator to be examined. A fabulous Hot Rod routine. Rod made of a brass and precision made.

The performer shows a knife and a currency bill or note which may be borrowed. A piece of paper, the same size as the bill is folded in half, and the knife pushed through the middle. When the knife is pulled sideways, it rips through the paper, as expected. He then places the bill over another piece of paper of the same size and creases them in half. The knife is pushed through both the bill and paper. He opens the crease and the spectators can see the knife going right through the bill and paper from both sides. The performer creases them again, and pulls away the knife ripping through the bill and paper at the crease. When he opens them, the paper is found to be ripped as one would expect, but the bill is totally unharmed.
You are supplied the special mechanical paper knife (with wooden handle, and steel blade) that makes the illusion possible, along with complete performing instructions. You can perform this with any borrowed currency bill.

An excellent electronic trick, - a close-up effect that looks and works like real magic, right under their nose, or even in their own hands.
The performer displays a nut and bolt, which can be thoroughly examined by the audience. This is placed isolated on his close-up case, and the bolt visibly un-threads off the nut. The effect is most uncanny. The spectator may himself pick up the nut and bolt off the case, and examine them. The effect can be repeated as often as you like. You can even work it in reverse, having the bolt thread into the nut instead of threading out.
This does not use any of the traditional methods - no strings, springs, rubber bands, wires or pulls. Although gimmicked, the nut and bolt will stand the most rigid scrutiny, as there is nothing attached to the nut or bolt.
There are two sizes available both made out of hardened oak with a built in close-up pad, which makes the effect possible. You can carry your other close-up items in the case, and perform them on this case, followed by the miracle effect for the climax.
