The man tells the folks that not only is he a heck of a magician, but he's also somewhat musically inclined. For instance, he claims the first note he ever learned was on a stretched out rubberband.
To demo, the man takes out a small pile of rubber bands and tosses them onto the table. Picking one up, he stretches it between his hands and proceeds to pluck out a couple notes, the first being a B flat. He continues trying to convince the audience by plucking out a second note, an F sharp.
Still seeing disbelief in their eyes, he decides to try a different approach. "You've heard of a two count rest?" he asks as he lets go of one end of the rubberband, which remains suspended for a count of two before snapping back and failing onto the table.
Now it is plain to see that the man is not only with the magic, but he's definitely "with the band"!
This trick comes with a special gimmick, rubber bands to get you started, a wonderful instruction book for a suggested routine with dialogue, as well as three additional tricks, and a list of other possibilities.

A large one inch die is shown and it is placed into your open hand. Your hand is closed and you explain that you can turn the die into any color mentioned. Spectator after spectator is asked what color he/she wants the die turned to? It seems like you are waiting for a particular color. With a little comic by-play you will have a lot of fun. When your hand is opened, you have a handful of miniature dice, all different colors.
This close-up effect is one of Steve's classics. It comes with everything you need. The large dice is gimmicked so that you will only have to do a minimal amount of sleight of hand. You get all Steve's routines with this effect.

DIE-CIPHER II DELUXE SET (STAINLESS STEEL)
This deluxe set collects Die Cipher II, the ESP Die, both are constructed of stainless steel, and the Shadow Principle booklet in one convenient package.
Die Cipher II - While your back is turned, a spectator examines a solid brass die, a round canister and its lid. He places the die inside the canister, any way he chooses, and remembers the number on top. He places the lid on the canister, sealing the die inside. You turn around, pick up the canister, concentrate for a moment, then announce the number that he is thinking of. You or the spectator can now open the canister, and the predicted number is revealed!
ESP Die Cipher - A stainless steel canister, lid and die are examined by a spectator. The die has six different symbols, one on each side. While the performer looks away, a spectator places the die into the canister any way he wants, he then remembers the symbol on the top of the die and then covers the lid. The performer turns around, picks up the box and hands it to the spectator, asking him to hold it and concentrate on his symbol. Next, the performer picks up a piece of paper, concentrates, then draws a symbol. The lid is removed from the box and the performer's paper is turned around...The symbols match!
Shadow Principle - The Shadow Principle booklet offers additional handling methods and presentations for Die-Cipher II. There is also an explanation of the Shadow Principle...discerning the number by simply looking at the brass canister! Also included are a number of special "eye cards." A mystical, blue eye printed on quality business card stock. This provides a consistent surface for shadow reading. Some of the cards have the numbers 1-6 printed on their backs for a nail-writer prediction.
