CLOSE-UP MAGIC
THE PILLARS OF THOR by HIROSHI KONDO

This is a Legendary Magical Mystery. A length of string runs between the two, absolutely separate PILLARS OF THOR. Placing the pillars together, the magician cuts the string with a playing card. Yet by pulling one end of the string, the other end moves: an impossibility! Then, a magic wave and the string is completely restored.
THE PILLARS OF THOR is an entirely new version of a classic effect in magic. Easy to do, yet a real fooler! Made with that Tenyo craftsmanship that you have grown to expect.

Six little blocks each a different color are held in a plastic box by placing a sword through them. Before closing the box, the spectator is asked to name any two colors. When the box is turned over, the two selected blocks magically fall out, having penetrated the sword, and the others stay locked in.
This is a miniature version of Blocks-O. It is beautifully made and measures about 1" x 3".

Both of your hands are proven to be empty. A real dollar bill is placed on your open hand, and within a few seconds, the bill begins to slowly rise up and off of your hand. To prove that there are no strings attached, you take another bill and pass it over, around and under the floating bill. A wonderful trick.

KILLER RED CAPS by ROGER MONACO

This is one of the cleverest close-up routines to be seen in years. This trick is already in the repertoires of some of the top professionals in the country. The magician brings out five small red, plastic caps. These caps resemble the caps you'd find on the top of a spray can. The magician also brings out a Lifesaver. While the magician's back is turned, a spectator places the Lifesaver under any of the five caps and then mixes the caps around on the tabletop. The magician turns around and immediately tells the spectator which cap the Lifesaver is under. This can be repeated.
The magician then brings out a different flavor Lifesaver and again turns his back. The spectator places the new Lifesaver under one cap and the other Lifesaver under another, and again mixes the caps. The magician turns around and correctly identifies the position of each Lifesaver or quarter.
For the finale, the magician brings out a quarter. The magician turns his back and the spectator is instructed to place one of the three objects under any of the caps and then mix the caps around. He is then to pick up the remaining two objects one in each hand. The magician turns around, correctly identifies which object is under the cap (and where it is) and correctly identifies the locations of the two objects the spectator holds.
