Wedding by Bruno Copin is a love story about a king and a lady in which you manipulate the cards like puppets. This routine can be presented in table-hopping situations.
A deck of cards appears, the castle. Little by little the cards come to life. Your spectators enter into the dream. Worthy of particular attention is the remarkable horizontal double rising card effect which itself alone is worth the price of the DVD. It deserves close study. As in most of his creations, Bruno COPIN uses specially composed music to accompany the performance of this effect. You will be able to hear this performance on the DVD. Bruno adapts all the effects he creates with his favorite gimmick so that they can be performed close-up. In Bruno's opinion, the most important rule for creating a strong illusion is to be able to hand out the deck for examination BEFORE and AFTER the effect.

In this effect by Jeff Pierce a freely selected card, picked from a small group of cards is placed face down on the table. A number is selected by another spectator. The magician counts down in the deck to that randomly selected number, and that card is shown to match the card selected by the first spectator.
The kicker is revealed when the deck is spread face up on the table and all the rest of the cards are totally blank!

This is the ultimate card control gimmick by Rodger Lovins! Never leave home without putting a little something EXTRA in your deck of cards! In the effect the Magician shuffles the deck of cards and places them on the table. He tells the spectator that they are going to play a little game of HIGH CARD. He tells the spectator that each of them will take turns cutting the deck, and see who cuts to the highest value card. Twos being the lowest and aces the highest. The spectator goes first and then the performer. Back and forth until each have four cards. The magician cuts to an ace every time, even though the spectator has cut the deck in between each one of his turns. The performer then goes into his or her favorite 4 ace routine! This is good stuff.

For those of you who have not been exposed to the massive ad campaign, the basic effect is: a freely chosen card is laid on the table, given a slight bend lengthwise and then rises about an inch off the table and rotates roughly 90 degrees. The card is then pushed back down to the table and handed out for inspection. No wires, magnets or threads. The look of this effect is truly different. The handling is simple and direct. As a non card guy (just don't have the chops ;-) I was able to take it out of the package and perform it. The gimmick is small, easy to conceal and easy to ring in and out. There is no messy wax to deal with. My only concern is for your table hoppers. The gimmick requires a two handed reset. It would most likely take a good bit of practice to be able to do it casually without looking at what you are doing. With that one caveat, I highly recommend it.”
