CARD MAGIC
In this effect by David Regal the spectator simply names any card that they like. The magician removes a deck of cards, and claims he will make the named selection vanish from the deck. Spreading out the deck, however all of the cards are seen to be missing the faces. Offering to try to make their card come back, one of the blank-faced cards is very cleanly shown and placed under a spectator's hand. When they lift their hand and turn over the card, they are amazed to see it is their named selection!

In the effect by Peter Duffie a card is selected, signed, and lost back into the deck. Taking only the 4 Aces (deck discarded), you perform the cleanest of the "Twisting the Aces" routines - with the Aces reversing one by one with no false counts.
The black Aces are now placed into the card case - there is no doubt at all that they do go into the case - leaving the red Aces, "These will now magically produce your signed card." The spectator holds the red Aces but nothing happens, or does it? On turning his two cards over he finds he is now holding the black Aces!
Finally, you tip out the cards from the card case revealing the two red Aces - but they have one card caught between them....the signed selection!

Heading North, one of the standout items from David Regal’s Constant Fooling Books, is a rising card effect that incorporates a simple, foolproof gimmick inspired by a brilliant concept by the late, great Irv Wiener. The gimmick is a playing card, now professionally made for the first time that has been turned into a rising device. The gaffed card can be in the deck for an entire card act and brought into use whenever the performer desires.
Included along with two Bicycle gimmicks, one red and one blue, is the heretofore unpublished routine “Rising Transpo”, and it’s an absolute killer: Two cards are selected. The first slowly rises from the center of the deck and is tossed face down to the table. A magical gesture and another card rises...but it’s the same card as the one just tabled. The tabled card is turned over – it has become the second selection. The gimmick makes this two-phase effect almost automatic.

In this effect by Steven Gore, a hard spectacle case is shown, it has a random eye chart printed on one side (just like an opticians) and is completely plain on the other. A card is selected from a regular deck. You now remove your invisible mind reading glasses from the spectacle case. After a couple of minutes by play with invisible glasses and you guessing the card wrong several times. The spectator is asked to read the eye chart on the case. it now reads THE CARD YOU SELECTED IS. Every letter has rearranged itself. Slowly you turn the case around and on the back of the case is their card.
