The Magician spreads out the cards and gives a free selection of any card. The spectator picks a card and shows it to the audience. The Magician lets the spectator replace the card back into the deck. The spectator now is handed the deck and is told to place the cards, face down, one at a time, onto the card box in front of the dog. After several cards are placed into the card box the dog will light up, wag it's tail and bark. The Magician tells the spectator to stop and turn over the next card. It is, of course, the chosen card.
