CARD MAGIC
The magician displays a deck of cards. The cards are different from a normal deck, because all the backs are different.
Magician removes two cards from the deck placing them face up on the table. A spectator is now asked to think of any number between 5 and 25. The deck is handed to him to deal the number of cards he thought of face down on the table. When he has counted to his selected number.. he is to stop. When the spectator has stopped dealing, you place one of the face up cards at this point to "mark it". The rest of the deck is now placed on top.
This is repeated with a second spectator, who again selects a number between 5 and 25, and deals out as many cards. The second face up card is placed at this point, with the rest of the deck being placed on top.
The magician now fans through the deck to display the two face up cards. He removes the face up cards and the cards just above them and places them aside. The face down card over the face up one is now turned around and found to be a perfect match for value and color. For example if the face up card was a 4 of clubs then the face down card will be the 4 of spades. This is also true for the other pair.
Then he turns both the cards in each pair face down and the backs match perfectly, although all the other cards have different backs with no other duplicates. For a final climax, the rest of the deck is turned face up and ribbon spread on the table. All the cards are found to be identical, and different to the two pairs. The trick is completely automatic in working. Practice the Handling, and you have a stunning miracle for your close-up act.

CLOSE'S CLONES by MICHAEL CLOSE
Michael Close's wonderful, comical tale of science and cloning begins innocently enough with the introduction of nine cards, each blank on both sides. A tenth card is then introduced, this one with the face of a clown. The clown card is placed into the packet and instantly the clown face is "cloned!" There are now clown faces on two of the blank cards!
As the comedy builds, the spectators gets involved in the "cloning" process and that's where things go horribly and hilariously wrong. The cloning process gets out of control and the spectators begin turning over blank cards to find that clowns have magically printed on all of them. On the last three cards are printed three, five and finally a whole card full of clowns!
Just when the audience thinks it's all over, they look up at the performer to find a clown nose has magically appeared on his face! This effect is easy to perform, requiring only minimal sleight-of-hand. Frank Zak has created a charming and entertaining routine around the famed Thomas Gainsborough Blue Boy painting. The routine begins with a discussion of how playing cards were originally hand painted and considered pieces of art. A card is selected and returned to the deck. You then display four postcards, each depicting Gainsborough's The Blue Boy painting. You explain that one of them is a forgery as the spectators immediately spot the obvious and amusing fake.
The postcards are turned over to show Gainsborough painted a back to Blue Boy but no one ever noticed because it was always kept framed. For the finale a postcard that was placed aside on an impromptu easel is revealed with The Blue Boy now holding the selected card. This can be repeated four times with different cards and comes complete with the necessary postcards and a photo-illustrated booklet. Very easy to do and fun to perform.

A spectator is asked to visualize a card, it can be any card; "A clear picture must be formed in your mind... Now think of a color, either red or blue."

Asked to perform some magic, the magician takes out a box from his pocket, which houses a deck of regular Bicycle cards. The box has a cut out window on top and an opening at one end. The card case is clearly visible through the window and opening of the box.
He takes out the card case from the box and leaves the box on the table. He opens the case and removes a card, say the Nine of Diamonds. He declares that he will insert this card inside the card case over the rest of the cards. He states that he will replace the case inside the box, and cause the Nine of Diamonds to penetrate the whole deck, the case, and the box and drop out. His actions follow his words. But nothing seems to happen.
Confused, he turns the box over and to everyone's surprise the entire deck of cards have disappeared, leaving the box completely empty!
