SAND FRAME (IMPORT)
The Sand Frame is a classic prop, where a picture magically appears in an empty photo frame Tins is a handy size model, for use with playing cards, or any pictures of this size.
In the performance the Frame is first shown empty. It is turned back out towards the audience, and placed visibly upright against a suitable support on your table, for example an inverted clear Glass Tumbler. You can also cover the Sand Frame with a handkerchief and hand it over to a spectator to hold. Later he himself removes the hanky, and finds the picture has appeared.
In the usual presentation, the Frame; is shown empty. Members of the audience are requested to call out names of famous people of a particular category. A picture of one of the names called out will appear.
You can use a much broader choice, along with a Change Bag. Several slips of paper are distributed to the audience, with the request they write the name of any famous person past or present. These slips are collected in a bag. A member of audience can be invited to pull out a few slips at random, and read out their contents. This establishes that all slips have different names covering a wide variety. Finally he is asked to pull out one slip, which will be a 'free and fair selection'. This is the picture that appears in the Frame.
You can also cause a Playing Card to appear in the Frame, to match a selection made by a spectator from any deck. For kid shows you could use fairy tales or cartoon figures and so on. You could also cause pictures to appear which have an oblique reference to the selection. For example spectators are asked to name or write a country they would like to visit. A picture of a Statue of Liberty appears to indicate a selection of America, or an Eiffel Tower to indicate France, or the Taj Mahal to indicate a selection of India and so on.

If you look on another section of this website you will see a stripper deck with the same description as this one that sells for a few bucks less. It is a good deck made in the USA. I like to use stripper cards for a few effects because I never was that great with the pasteboards. When one of my mechanics showed be this stripper deck, I couldn't believe my eyes. Every card is perfect with a most beautiful rounded corner. You can put the entire deck in a spectator's hands and they will never realize it is a gaffed deck.
A classic among trick decks. It looks like a regular deck of cards. You can pass them out for examination -- you can even play cards with them. Yet, you have uncanny control of selected cards after they are shuffled into the deck. You can make the chosen card appear on top of the deck, on the bottom, or even come out of the middle

This is a very special deck of cards where every card has a slight dimple on one of the bicycle riding angels. You can feel the dimple by rubbing your thumb over the back of the card in a "dealing position."
When used with a regular deck of cards there are many different effects that can be done.
One of the effects is to take all the red cards from the Dimple Deck and shuffle them with all the black cards from a Regular Deck. This deck can now be handed to a spectator and shuffled. Without looking you can discern the black cards from the red cards just by dealing them into two piles. Of course you can feel the dimples on the red cards.
Another effect is to remove the four aces from the dimple deck and place them in the regular deck. At any time you can find the four aces without looking and use them in any four ace routines.

A spectator cuts to and removes three cards from the deck. A
second spectator cuts the deck and removes three more cards. You can now name
all the cards held by each spectator. This is the most basic effect accomplished
with this diabolical deck.
As many as six different spectators can select cards and you will be able to
instantly tell them which card they are thinking of. All the chosen cards are
different. Great for platform workers, close-up magicians and mentalists.

This is a modified version of the slotted card changing frame, which enables you to visibly change a card as it is flicked out of a slotted frame. The face of the card is visible at all times. It is seen through the slots in the frame, and changes into an entirely different card when flicked out. The change is extremely magical.
A typical presentation - Empty frame is on display. A card is freely selected from a deck (no force required, and the card can even be signed). Spectator notes it, and replaces it in the deck, which is then shuffled. You now state you are going to place a random card in the cut out frame, and have it magically change places with the selected card.
You take the top card from the deck and introduce it into the frame. The audience can clearly see the card going into the frame. Ask the spectator to confirm if this was their selected card. They will obviously say NO, as what they see is the face of a random card in the frame.
You now ask them what their selected card was, stating you will make the card in the fame change places with their selection. As they name their selected card, flick the frame with the face of the card still towards audience. Their selected card shoots out, still facing audience, and the change from the random card to the selected one is most magical. The frame is obviously empty.
