A miniature table and cover are shown. A spectator selects a card. The card is torn into six pieces; the spectator retains a corner of the card. The remaining pieces are placed on the small tabletop. The cover is placed over the table, instantly removed, and—miraculously the selected card is now restored, except for the missing corner, which is held by the spectator. The piece held by the spectator fits the selected card perfectly. A TRUE CLOSE-UP MIRACLE!!!

At one time Spirit Slates were an extremely popular magician's prop for mentalism or magical effects. Writing, drawings or ghostly images were made to appear on a signed slate or pair of slates. Unfortunately slates are no longer the common every-day item familiar to all students, and much of the modern generation has never seen one. To them a slate is as weird object.
The "Phantom Reflections" appear like a more familiar pocket size mirror (4 1/2" x 3 1/2") of the sort one would find in a gentleman's shaving kit, or a lady's handbag. It is designed to produce effects similar to those performed with the Spirit Slate.
In the effect, a pocket mirror is shown and signed or marked on both sides by a spectator. A reflection subsequently appears in the mirror under the signature, which could be a word, number, drawing or ghostly image. This could be in the form of a prediction or as a demonstration of thought transference, as a spectator concentrates on a particular image or card. The spectator can also see his own reflection along with the image and this adds to the visual impact of the illusion.
This effect comes complete with all required apparatus and instructions on handling including a special glass marking pencil and one "ghost image", which you can easily replace with any other of your choice.

In this effect direct from Mark Mason, a signed card materializes in between two kings! First a card is selected, signed and lost in any deck. Two kings with joker sandwiched between them are shown and placed to one side. The magician tries to find the selected card but fails.
The sandwiched packet is picked up and spread once again showing just two kings and a joker. Without any covering, counting, turning over etc, the joker visually starts to change!
It's hard to believe but it changes into the signed selection. The spectator removes the selected card from the fan of three cards. The remaining kings are freely shown both sides.

The stickman jumps from card to card! Any card is freely selected and signed on the face. The magician visibly draws a large stickman on the back of any card. You really draw the stickman! The stickman jumps off the back of the card onto another card several times. The stickman is cut into the center of the deck only to jump back up to the top.
Without cover, etc the stickman visually jumps off the top card and dives down into the deck. The deck is spread and the stickman is on the back of a card in the center of the deck. This is their signed selected card! This is a precision made gimmick for use with Bicycle cards!
