SLAPPED FLAT by CHRIS LARSON & PAUL RICHARDS

slappedflat.jpg (12207 bytes)

A card is freely selected, signed, and then lost in the deck. You squeeze a quarter and it disappears! The deck is spread out to reveal the quarter has reappeared on top of the selected card! You offer to repeat the effect, but this time you ask the spectator to hold their hand on the deck to insure that you can't do anything "tricky". The coin vanishes; the deck is spread ... but, uh-oh! The spectator pushed a little too hard! The quarter is actually smashed flat and stuck on the back of one card! The card is turned over ... and it is the signed selection! Unfortunately, the card is ruined and the spectator is out twenty-five cents ... no problem, the coin visibly pops off the back of the card and returns to its original state! The card and coin can immediately be handed out for examination ... heck they can keep them if they want!

SLAPPED FLAT also includes a magical way of handing out your business card and an ultra easy handling in which the coin reappears while the spectator is handling the card! The instructions are fully detailed with photo illustrations. Any Bicycle deck can be used and the effect comes complete with four SLAPPED FLAT "coins", two half dollars and two quarters, as well as everything else you need to perform this charming effect.

CUT IT OUT

cutitout.gif (1920 bytes)

A card is selected from a deck. When placed back into the deck it mysteriously pops out as it reverses itself. It reverses itself again and changes color. All this is accomplished without any difficult sleight of hand. This is made possible by a gimmicked mechanical card.

TARTARUCUS by SIMON CORNEILLE

turtletrick.jpg (13042 bytes)

The turtle (from the Latin tartarucus is a Roman military defense that consists of forming a "shell" using soldiers' shields in order to protect themselves against enemy projectiles.  The magician shows six cards then aligns them face down on the table in "turtle" like formation. Can one projectile alone pierce, such an impenetrable military defense?

The magician shows a small turtle, opens its shell and takes out a die. The spectator rolls the die and thus selects at random one of the six cards. "Veni, Vedi, Veci! - I have come, I have seen, I have conquered!" The selected card corresponds to a miniature card (prediction) placed inside the small turtle!

Note: All the cards are shown as being different at the start of the trick. The number selected by a roll of the dice corresponds to the position of a card. 1 = first card, 2 = second card, etc.  There is no "spelling out" to force a position. The number selected by a roll of the die is different from one time to another.   The spectator can even be invited to change his mind and roll the die again if he wishes.  Also, the turtle has only one prediction.

SOLID GOLD EASY ACTION by BEN HARRIS

solidgoldeasyaction.jpg (12428 bytes)

Solid Gold Easy Action was one of the hottest selling effects in the late 1980's. Now back after almost ten years with a cool new "tyvex" plastic envelope, rewritten instructions, plus a bonus repeat effect - we're sure that it will be just as popular today as it was years ago. In this "pro" release, you are supplied with two gaffs: one ready-made in Bicycle Poker, the other blank and ready to customize to your favorite brand of playing cards. The effect is that of "Card to Pocket" or "Card to Envelope". No palming is required and the gimmicked envelope is so devious that you'll grin ear-to-ear with each performance!

An envelope is introduced, sealed, and then signed on both the front and back by a spectator. It is now either placed in your pocket or left in full view upon the table. A free choice of a playing card is now allowed. Once this card is committed to memory and signed, it is returned face-up to the facedown deck. The spectator himself pushes his card flush into the deck. The cards are immediately counted to the table. There are only 51, and the face-up selection did not show in the count. Obviously, one card has vanished. The envelope is either removed from the pocket or picked up from the table. The security signatures are confirmed. The envelope is now slowly opened with empty hands and the signed card withdrawn from within. Please note that the selection is really in the envelope and that no palming is required.

CARD TRIPOD

If you enjoy clever, sophisticated magic, this is for you - a classical prop, beautifully made to enhance any close-up presentation. A miniature table and cover are shown. A card is selected by a spectator. The card is tom into six pieces, a corner of the card is retained by the spectator. The remaining pieces are placed on the small table. The cover is placed over the table, instantly removed, and – miraculously - the selected card is now restored, except for the missing corner, which is held by the spectator. The piece held by the spectator fits the selected card perfectly. A true close-up miracle!

The card tripod may be held by the spectator during the performance. This attractive prop may be used for many other outstanding effects: You can change a selected card into a card silk. Change one card for another card. Confetti to flowers (spring flowers). Torn and restored paper, napkin, etc. An instant cigarette making machine. A very pretty effect.

And for the mentalist many applications are possible. Plus many other effects, which you can create yourself. This is a beautiful prop that will add a touch of class to your act. You will be proud to own and perform.
