Hocus Poker is an ingenious "contest" staged at a world famous "Cheaters Convention." In the finals, Chicago Eddie and Detroit Fats are each dealt a hand of aces and eights, the dead man's hand! Each player then gets a shot at cheating. Eddie secretly steals two aces from Fats, giving him four aces. Fats then shows his hand to be a straight flush, showing each card front and back! Eddie, not to be outdone, changes his hand into a royal flush to win the competition! The effect is eye-popping!

A selected and signed card is lost in the deck. A spectator chooses a balloon and the magician holds it in his open hand. The magician slams the deck against the balloon and the deck literally becomes "sucked" into the balloon! The balloon is blown up and the cards are shuffled around inside. The magician now pinches the selected card through the wall of the balloon and visibly pulls it through to the outside! The balloon with cards and the signed selection are immediately given out as souvenirs of this truly remarkable magic experience!

THREE DIFFERENT EFFECTS WITH ONE FANTASTIC GIMMICK
# 1 The magician shows the audience a plastic card pack holder from which he removes a pack of cards. He spans his fingers and suddenly there are TWO packs of cards in his hands. He opens one of the packs and pulls the cards from it, which he then uses to perform further tricks.
# 2 The magician shows a plastic cardholder to the audience from which he removes a pack of cards. Without opening the pack and removing the cards, he spreads the cards out onto the table
# 3 The magician shows a red and a blue pack of cards to the audience. He asks "Which one do you chose? The red one or the blue?" The answer is "The blue one!" "Ok, I'll just put the blue one to one side. Now I'm left with TWO red packs! Which one would you like?"...

This is an extraordinary magical effect that is easy to do and is sure to leave your audience completely baffled:
EFFECT #1: Two cards are selected from the deck by two different spectators. Each card is openly sealed in its own envelope which is boldly marked with the value of the card inside. The envelopes are placed in stands to keep them in full view of the audience. Magician now commands the cards to change places. The envelopes are opened, one at a time and the cards are shown to have indeed changed places with each other.
EFFECT #2: This is basically the same as the effect described above, with the exception that when the envelopes are opened, the cards are found to have vanished and in their place is a message such as; "Happy Birthday"; "Merry Christmas"; or some other appropriate phrase. The chosen cards are now found returned to the deck.
