Harry's Anderson's Three-Card Monarch is one of the best versions of Three-Card Monte ever. The routine is great. If you work a lot of big shows, the effect can't be beat. However, it is a little large for club dates and parlor shows. So, after much thought and consideration we have decided to offer a smaller version of Harry's Three-Card Monarch, Three-Card Prince.

MARKED AGAIN by JERRY SOMERDIN
This effect is in the miracle class! It's unexplainable and absolutely baffling! It's a "must buy"! Four cards are shown one at a time, full faces and backs (for example, the four Kings). The backs are shown to be blue. The magician explains that the backs are really marked - yet the spectator cannot find the markings on the blue backs. The magician states that he will teach the spectator how to read the markings. One at a time, each King magically turns face up and then face down. Instantly, all four Kings magically turn face up. Finally, the back of each card changes from blue to red with large bold printing on each red back stating the value and suit of each card. (Now the spectator can clearly see the markings on the backs of the cards.)
Remember -- the spectator sees the complete front and back of each King as the four cards are freely tossed onto the table. The spectator clearly sees only four cards from beginning to end- nothing to get rid of. Resets in seconds. A killer effect! Comes in poker-size Bicycle cards.

A glass disc approximately two
inches in diameter is introduced as a mysterious mentalist's glass (ala crystal
ball). This glass will allow you to communicate with the spirit world. The disc
is cleaned with a soft cloth and placed aside. Next, the Magi/Mentalist
introduces a deck of playing cards, from which a spectator selects one card. The
spectator is asked to place the card close to his/her mouth and to “breathe in” the essence of the card. A rather
unorthodox request, the reason for which will be apparent in but a short while.
The card is returned to the deck,
which is thoroughly mixed. The crystal is now placed on top of the deck for a
few moments, then given to the spectator to hold a few inches from his/her lips.
Spectator is now asked to concentrate on the selected card, and when they feel
they have a vision of that card in their mind, they are to exhale a long, slow, warm breath on the crystal. A ghost-like image of
the selected card appears in the mist and just as mysteriously, slowly vanishes! The glass disc is again cleaned and the effect may be repeated with
another spectator and a different card.

Here's An In-Depth Description of the Effect: The performer displays two packets of facedown cards, each packet containing four cards. One packet is red-backed and the other is blue-backed. The packets are tabled, and a spectator is allowed to select either the red or blue packet. Whichever packet he selects is used. There is no magician's force.
The spectator is asked to imagine that his packet consists of four facedown queens. Once this is done, he is to think of any one of the four queens - hearts, clubs, spades or diamonds. Again, this is totally free choice! A second spectator is now directed to concentrate on the remaining four-card packet, and like the first spectator, is allowed to think of a different queen
Now, without touching the cards, the performer claims he has caused the two selections to trade places. The first spectator names his card, the performer spreads his packet, and the queen he merely thought of is reversed face up in the packet. This astounding feat is repeated with the second spectator's queen! And there's more!
The performer points out that if each of the spectator's queens really traveled across, then the backs of the selected queen would also have traveled across. The face-up queen in the red packet is turned over - it has a blue back! Now the face-up queen in the blue packet is turned over - it has a red back! The effect is truly unbelievable. And there is still more!
The performer points out that it is very interesting that the two spectators selected the particular two queens they did. BECAUSE THE REST OF THE CARDS ARE NOT EVEN QUEENS AT ALL - THEY ARE JOKERS! And you turn them all face up to prove it!
