CARD MAGIC
The performer shows a fan of five cards and asks the spectator to think of one of them. Turning the faces of the cards towards himself the performer gazes at them then removes one, which he puts under his arm. The faces of the four cards remaining are shown.
It is seen that the very card being thought of by the spectator has been removed. Line three people up and do the trick three times. Line six people up and do the trick six times. Sure fire and self-working; no skill required.
This effect was performed on the David Letterman show.

BAFFLING BONES by DAVE STEINBERG
A spectator shuffles A deck of cards. The magician then fans the cards out on the table to show that it is a complete ordinary deck of cards.
The spectator is asked to throw a pair of dice and add the total of the two numbers. The spectator then counts down to the number specified by the dice, and counts once more to the total specified by the dice. At that point the magician can then tell the spectator what the selected card was.
Dave knocked my socks off with this fantastic effect and yet it is very easy to do. It requires no skill or set up. Remember the spectator handles the deck and dice by himself. Included with the easy to follow instructions are a one inch pair of dice and a bicycle deck which by themselves would almost sell for the price we are asking for everything.

PIPS-A-POPPIN' by TONY L. LEWIS
In Pips a Poppin' you will find a pair of linked magic routines, each of which has a well defined beginning, middle, and end. The whole package is completely modular, like a magic version of Lego ®.
A magician will get an excellent response performing the sequential effects as they are written; however, either of the two routines will stand alone quite well. The components of each of the routines can be switched around to suit each person who performs them. Additionally, several of the unique props supplied can be used separately to perform additional tricks. Examples of this are included at the end of the instructions in a section entitled "Doing your own thing."
The routines are designed to be performed by magicians who have average skills. No difficult sleights are required; however, advanced manipulators will find spots where their dexterity can be demonstrated if they so desire. For example, no advanced card moves are required to do the effects, but the experienced pasteboard handier can easily substitute an ace assembly for the proposed simple gathering of the four aces. This is a simplified version of Michael Skinner's "Ultimate 3 Card Monte" using the two red aces as the 'losers' and the ace of spades as the 'money card'. In addition to using the more standard Monte cards (as opposed to an ace, two, and a three), the ace of hearts acts as a 'pointer' card so you will always know which ends have the faked corners on the remaining two cards. This prevents any possible embarrassment from spreading the wrong ends too far and exposing the gimmicks!
Ultra-Monte comes complete with everything you need to perform this wonderful routine. The cards were printed by the U.S. Playing Card Company on red, poker size, Bicycle Rider backed cards.
