QUIETUS OF CREATIVITY #1 by DEAN MONTALBANO

How often do you hear an ad for a magic book say, "This one effect ALONE is worth the price of the book." Well, we could certainly say that several times over.
Consider this
CONSIDER: What would you pay for a virtually sleight free card effect that can play for over 5 minutes, is topical, and can be done virtually under the spectator's nose? With UPC miracle II, you cause blank cards to become printed duplicates of freely selected cards, entire blank decks to print themselves and much more- but that is only ONE effect in Quietus Of Creativity volume One.
CONSIDER: A coins through the table effect which uses a GLASS TOP TABLE and allows the spectators to SEE the magic happen.
CONSIDER: A Magical Money Making effect which uses a plain sheet of notebook paper and ends with a REAL US LEGAL TENDER dollar printed right in the middle of the notebook paper... lines and all!

ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MIRROR by CUSHING STROUT

In the tradition of Eugene Burger, Robert E. Neale, Ariel Frailich and others, her is a collection of card tricks that will entertain your spectators as much by the magic as by the interesting presentations with which they are clothed.
The tricks are based primarily on prearrangement and most requite no sleight-of-hand; the ones that do require only minimal skill. The tricks use ideas from the likes of Stewart James, Jim Steinmeyer, Jack Avis, Alex Elmsley, Henry Christ, Aldo Colombini, and many more.
The trick plots are multiple and varied. There are predictions, revelation, and forces based on zodiac signs, a spectator's birthday, a do-it-yourself murder mystery, fortune-telling, lie detection and more. There are interesting variations on tricks such as "Further than that", "the Lie Detector, " "the Clock Trick," "The dead man's hand" and other classics. There are story tricks based on learned pigs, Sherlock Holmes and Alice in Wonderland.
A unique feature of this book, is that many tricks have been adapted to make use of unusual decks, such as Tarot cards, fortune-telling cards and Alice in Wonderland cards, in addition to ordinary playing cards. There is even a book test with a Holmesian theme, complete with a Sherlock Holmes book and a Sherlock Holmes deck of cards.
On the Other Side of the Mirror is a thoroughly enjoyable collection of entertaining close-up card magic suited to beginners as well as to experienced magicians who want to add something a little different to their repertoire.

BURN WITCH BURN TRICK BOOKLET by DOCC HILFORD

A mysterious twist on a classic effect. A borrowed $100 bill is marked with a sigil of protection. It is put in one of 3 envelopes. The other envelopes hold slips of newspaper.
Three lighters are proven to operate and are randomly selected by 3 spectators. The envelopes are mixed by the spectators and handed, in order, to each spectator.
You claim the sigil will protect the money through the powers of nature. The first spectator ignites his lighter and burns his envelope. The second spectator does the same. The final spectator cannot light his lighter! The remaining envelope is unharmed! When the envelope is opened, it contains the borrowed money. Whew!
Finally, the sigil is erased from the $100 bill, and without the sigil to protect it the money starts burning. You quickly extinguish it and take your bows.
With a very few props, this is big theatre that packs a punch! Add real meaning to your performance:
This really "packs small and plays big!" You'll be performing this piece right after reading the instructions.
What people are saying

WONDER MOUSE PITCH by STAN KRAMIEN

This is the forward...
Many years ago, when I was a very small boy, I went to a department store in my home town of Portland, Oregon and visited the toy section; at Christmastime. And there I saw a gentleman, and I do mean gentleman, dressed in a very expensive suit, demonstrating the "Magic Wonder Mouse." The next year, in that same store I saw a younger man doing the pitch with equal enthusiasm. The effect was simple: a little white mouse that jumped over his hand and ran up and down his sleeve, turned over, did a flip-flop; all apparently under it's own power. Then, using the same "magic gimmick", the man made a cigarette rise out of a pack and a shiny quarter jump out of a water glass when he snapped his fingers.
I later saw a gentleman performing this miracle in the doorway of a store in Tacoma, Washington, again to the enthusiastic response of the crowd of passersby that quickly gathered. He sold the mouse literally as fast as he could pass them out after making his presentation and asking each person for .25C or .50C, whatever it was in those days. It wasn't more than .50c, but that was many years ago. In these days we sell them for $1.00 each.
When I later began touring the country with my own full illusion show the "mouse pitch" became a standard part of my routine, just before intermission. And through the years I have sold literally hundreds of thousands of those little plastic creatures around the globe.
This pitch has always held a great deal of fascination for me, for several reasons.
Number one: a gross of Wonder Mice (144) fits in a very small package and takes up very little space.
Number two: once the presentation, or "pitch" is in your mind and memorized verbatim, you can go anywhere in America or for that fact, anywhere in the world and sell the Wonder Mouse and put cash in your pocket.
Number three: the mouse is a very high-profit item. As of this writing (1985) a gross of mice sells at wholesale for about $20.00.
As an example, let's say you live in a small town in the Midwest. You see an ad in your local paper for an upcoming flea market r community bazaar.
