These two audio tapes put together for you, selections of circus and clown music for the enjoyment of your audiences and yourself. When going to perform at a party or anywhere you can get the audience in the mood by playing some of this music before your entrance. Also you can use this music during an intermission in activities, or at any function you are working. The music is played professionally on a real calliope and sounds great!

Volume 2 contains: Barnum and Bailey's Favorite, The Billboard, Bombasto, Repaz Band, Arkansas Traveler, The Burning of Rome, we're loyal to you, Illinois, The Line-up, Robinison's Grand Entry, Stein Song, Indiana State band, Loyal Nights, High School Cadets, Seventh Regiment, Gippsland March, Show King, Notre Dame Victory March, and On Wisconsin. The lovely sounds of both these tapes are produced by compressed air blowing through 43 brass whistles played either from a keyboard or paper music rolls similar to those used in player pianos. Small portable calliopes became popular in the 1920s and were widely used on circus midways, for carnival shows, and anywhere that "ballyhoo" music could help clowns perform to delight children of all ages.
The Calliope used in these recordings was used by Ringling Circus, and today -- after having been restored from junk -- it again fills the air with the attention getting sounds of the midway. Beautiful full color jacket of Bob & Cathy Gibbons in full costume top off these delightful tapes.
