A Simple Routine: Load a dye tube with an 18" rabbit silk. Push the skunk silk into the top and produce the rabbit out of the bottom. Talk along the lines that "There is an old proverb that says you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, but here is a trick where a skunk, becomes a rabbit!"
A Quick Bit of Funny Business: Load a plastic squeaker with some talcum powder. Palm it. Show the skunk picture and then squeeze the squeaker so the powder "puffs" out from the side of the silk where the skunk's tail is located. Have this happen somewhat near an audience volunteer. (Don't actually get the powder on the person). Say, "Look out, the skunk likes you!"
Use It After Producing A Rabbit From Any Magical Prop: Say something about "Why does the rabbit come out of the hat?" (Or out of the box or whatever prop you use). "Because there is a skunk inside! The rabbit is smart enough to move to a new location!"
For Humor: Produce it from any magical prop (such as a square circle, silk cylinder, dove pan, switch can, etc. Act very surprised about this or say something such as, "I meant to produce a rabbit!" or "Anyone can produce a rabbit, but a truly courageous magician likes a challenge!"
For A Simple Vanish: Say, "You may have heard of the vanishing rabbit, or even the vanishing elephant, but have you heard of the vanishing skunk? That would be a practical trick!" Then, whether it be in your change bag, or with a "silk poke" gimmick, or even a dye tube, cause the skunk to disappear.
